ac/dc thunderstruck
i was like 4 or so, and my brothers had that on TV, had a plastic guitar at the time and started imitating angus youngs duck walk around the room. funny because even though i was so young and it was long ago, it's one of my most vivid memories

my dad calls it "boom boom"
I can't say what the first song I listened to that blew my mind. There were a lot, from Pink Floyd to Thrice's Vheissu. I do know the first Trance, or at least electronic, song that blew my mind however.
It's still one of my favorite (though Soundlift does a pretty good job at exceeding my expectations).
According to my mom, I loved Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time as a baby... first song I can recall that I liked, would be the Axel Foley theme from Beverly Hills Cop. An instrumental electronic song, interestingly enough...

I can't remember the first song IN GENERAL I've ever heard, but I do remember the first EDM tune I heard. When I was young my dad would always be playing his classic rock music that he listened to when he was younger, so I never really was exposed to EDM. However, when I was old enough to figure out how to use a computer I would go through his folder of mp3s he would play music from. For whatever reason he had Orbital - Halcyon and On and On in his music folder. So I clicked it, and man, it was so distinct and surreal and peaceful compared to his rock music that I immediately became attached to it.
From there, I distinctly remember him noting that I liked it an played a couple of Aphex Twin songs he had downloaded, one was "The Elephant Song" and another one was "The Milkman" or something (where the lyrics were "I...would like....some milk... from the Milkman's wife's tits."
It was pretty bizarre but cool enough to stick with me. Hahaha....
Then I found Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up video and immediately began to form this cool, distorted view of what I thought was techno and the scene that surrounded it. I was about 13 when this all happened and soon found di.fm and this forum and suddenly I was overwhelmed by this strange new world of music that I fell in love with.

The first song that I probably listened was rock for sure. Either Phil Collins or Rod Stewart or Deep Purple. My parents (still) love this sound. First song that I remember hearing is Scatman on the radio.
heard this song on a surf video a few years ago, been hooked since
