Bloody hell, did this set create a debate or what? lets not get pissed off, after all we are all brothers and sisters in trance, yes? trance in the broadest sense of the word. i can play trance, techno, funky house, tribal, whatever. like swamper said, dont be so closed minded, and if you dont like techno dont download it. personally i thought this set was great, plus it scared the shit out of me.

Can you give me some links to some good techno sites?

I like trance and I also like techno. playing both styles. I just made a techno set of my own.

This set is nice but the sound quelety is not that good I think I miss the bass.
The mixing in some points good be better.
I was a bit suppriced to find this on trance addict but I don't mind.

probably because mine isn't as long as yours, andyslong.
as for open-mindedness, people who bash me here (even if i give good
arguments, contrary to theirs), well ... no comment. really.

now go get yourself a nice marchetto & scheurer snack.

Why not?? There is plenty of techno addicts on this forum (me included) and posting a few techno sets is a good idea because we like it. It cleary states techno in the description, so if you don't like it then simply don't download it. Posting a few techno sets isnt going to hurt anybody is it??

ok, how about be briefly analyze your douche-ness mr d_sub. my main concern with you is that you seem to think you have a right to dictate what gets posted on this site. funny, im on www.tranceaddict.com, not www.whateverd_sublikes.com. As for it not being free... you are voluntarily clicking the banner ads, that doesn't make it a pay site. i know i dont write a check to tranceaddict every month to grab new music. what you are doing is noble in the sense that most people just take the site for granted and dont realize the amount of energy that goes into it on swamper and the ta crew's end. now, you seem to think that because you are clicking banners you have a right to dictate, similar to being a .01% stockholder who thinks he's the shit. unfortunately this isn't the case. im not saying you shouldn't voice your opinion. thats what these boards are for. if you didn't like the set i wanna hear all about it. what i don't want to hear, and what actually has no place here, as you would say, is mandating what music gets posted. you aren't the only one that wants to download, and i personally appreciate a little variety. the whole argument about it being a trance site doesn't mean anything. trance and techno are too similar for us to banish them to seperate corners of cyberspace. if i was running a hiphop website and decided to post a little incubus for good measure, and you told me it needed to dissapear - id throw some expletives at you and ban your ip from my site.

"besides, techno lovers will take every opportunity to bash trance, while trancers respect the opinion of others. well, almost."

what kind of hypocritical crap is that? i love when people generalize about 'techno lovers' and 'trance lovers' as if they were all similar. basically, like everyone else said, you're being close-minded, and assuming lots of authority you aint got.

ps - commander tom is awesome and id love to have a set of his on here sometime. viva/mtv ? du verstehst wohl nur bahnhof.

this set is so banging. I wouldve gone ape if i was there.

Posted by BobbyV on Jan-22-2003 09:49:

Question

Well, even though this is Tranceaddict.com, it doesn't hurt to try something new. Techno and trance are 2 completely different styles of music(theoretically), but it doesnt hurt to try out something new. Music is music, some we'll like and some we won't..but who knows, this might be(and any others that come up in the future) the set that opens your mind to another completely different genre to take up another half of your hard drive.

Posted by SomeoneOutThere on Jul-24-2003 08:22:

I like techno

Well my vote is for more techno, even though this is a trance site.

Hell, it's all up to Swamper anyway.

p.s. For those who were going to visit the link posted by d_sub - it goes to a bunch of streamed (low-quality) techno sets by amateur Czech DJs. Wahoo on the low-qual. Waste of time.

Posted by Froofy-D on Mar-03-2004 00:30:

There's good music in all genres. So Swamper please keep posting all forms of electronic stuff since apparently some people in here need their horizons broadened.

I like electronic music in all forms, techno, trance, house, Enya, or whatever. I also like rap, death metal, and country. I have seen Slayer live and I have seen Alan Jackson live. Anyway, whatever you do, don't limit yourself to one type of music. There's lots of good stuff out there.

Posted by ziptnf on Jun-28-2008 20:13:

This set is insane. I think I'm about to die. The same dark, scary, bass heavy beat blares for like 25 minutes at the end. Anybody who has been to a rave would probably agree with me.

Nightmares expected.
