well a lot of the techier stuff is groovier and simpler so to speak. a lot of the stuff on gdjb nowadays - michael woods tracks, pobsky - dark cloud are very simple. a case of less is more. but they build a groove through syncopated percussion and little delayed stabs. michael woods - dynamik is a perfect example. to be honest, i prefer this than the melodic trance with long breakdowns which i'm kind of tired of.
