I know it's dated now (they were using vinyl at the time), but in their self-made documentary "Delta Heavy", it was funny how Sasha commented on his own habit to be 'MIA'... apparently there was a clause in his contract that if he missed any of the Delta Heavy gigs he would be fined a hundred grand. Crazy. And he's STILL doubted to show. I have to admit--makes me wonder why clubs still book him...if he's that likely not to show? Is he THAT much of a super-star DJ?

That was a killer night. That set brought me back to the first time I ever heard a mix from him. Only flaw I heard was one bad mix around 4 o'clock which he quickly fixed. And his flow was crazy, haven't danced that much in ages. This was my first time at TIL and it was pretty nice. There was plenty of room to dance all night, even in the middle of the dance floor during peak hours. Overall was an awesome night.

Also, I forgot how amazing the sound system is a TIL. Not bad at all.

And Manzone and Strong played an amazing opening set as well.

I really have no complaints about last night at all. By far, the most fun I've ever had at TIL, hands down It just takes Sasha, and a decent crowd, and that club is top notch. lol

fack I would have killed to be at this show. Good to hear Sasha was in top form as expected.

On a sidenote has anybody used a usb key with the 2000's??
On the 400's fastforwarding through a track when cueing it up is a nightmare off a digital copy, just wondering if they've fixed that glitch with the 2000's

Using both fame and infamy to his advantage has worked well for him. And yes, he is that big.

After the story that I heard last night, which was confirmed by a second person, I now know that Sasha is a giant douchebag...

For the record, I'm not a fan that he's worshiped and invited despite his unprofessional rep...but I would totally fly with him. Free trip! ...and I'd probably meet Diggers.

I don't think any of us go to see him for his sparkling personality. What he brings to the dance floor, is the only thing I care about.

So he's a big douchebag lol big deal. Like most celebrities or people in his position arent. Unless you really know him personally and can judge him as a total douchebag then thats another story. i have friends who are total douchebags, but they are still my friends just act douchey sometimes... but still cool people.

anyway, funny story... a few years ago sasha attended my friends brothers wedding lol so random. i would have showed up and starting asking for tracklists and samples haha.

Welcome back Alex.

He started out so mellow, slow for some peoples tastes, but I had a feeling he wasnt going to keep it that way for long. And he didnt. At one point he just brought out that old Sasha magic I wanted and the smile I had could not be erased. Deep progressive, stitched with beautiful melodies through the beats. As the set progressed, he began to deliver the dark, chuggy goods. I also had some jaw dropping moments and realized once again why Sasha is a master of his style. Having the 4 CDJs out was a site to see as well. That last half hour of his set was so intense; he had the entire room in the palm of his hands. All the complaints of busy crowds, smaller room, not at Guv This is London was where it was at. This was a party. He worked that room, showing the crowd what he can do; he does it with fortitude; I applaud the man.

My favourite set Ive seen him play.

Posted by VDub on Nov-29-2010 04:06:

I posted that because of something that he did to a good friend of mine and I'm sure that most of you would feel the same if you knew what happened...

The way he treats ppl because of who he is is appalling...

There are many celebs who behave that way and they're all equal douchbags and will never receive one iota of respect from me..

Couldn't say it better myself. +1

And I'd call it a slow start, but that's part of what makes his sets so good. He doesn't need to start out at full speed. He takes you on a journey. So, yeah, I agree 100%.
