found this mix through your post in the "dark and proggy sets" thread in the music discussion forum. Already downloaded it and will give it a listen in one of the following days

This was awesome. You played some really nice tracks, it had a great flow, I liked the overall dark vibe and you kept it interesting from head to toe. I will definitely be listening to this many more times.

Really glad that you liked it
I was also very satisfied with the flow myself since it was one of my main goals with this mix, to keep a steady and upbeat flow right from the start to the end.

Re: Hamid - Stockholm syndrome [Dark tribalistic prog]

Consistency [kənˈsɪstənsɪ], Consistence
n pl -encies, -ences

1. Agreement or accordance with facts, form, or characteristics previously shown or stated
2. Agreement or harmony between parts of something complex; compatibility
3. (Physics / General Physics) degree of viscosity or firmness
4. The state or quality of holding or sticking together and retaining shape
5. Conformity with previous attitudes, behaviour, practice, etc.

edit: and holy mother of all intro's! where's it from? sounds like muslim prayer, sounds great to say the least.

Posted by RebeL9 on Mar-01-2011 06:18:

LOL!

The intro is actually from the russian movie 9th Ya Rota (The 9th company). An excellent movie about the Soviet-Afghan war in the 1980s.

Posted by bamski on Mar-01-2011 11:41:

Nice to know the details. I've always loved using speeches or some classic movie lines as intro's. Never managed to conjure anything as original as that one, though.

But ye. This was like a 9.75/10 for me. Nice work as always.

I must admit that I pretty much had you pidgeon-holed as a pure psywhore when I got my first impressions of you, like years ago. Huge props for showing me variety every now and then over the years.

PS. Lyssnar grna mera av dina gamla nr jag hinner, har en stor hg med sets att g igenom, s det kan ta en stund. Tar grna emot rekommendationer.

I'm planning to do a follow up to this mix if there is still any interest in this type of prog trance?

YEAH HOW DID YOU MISS THIS?!

Posted by enydo on Oct-08-2011 18:38:

So I listened! Nice stuff, exactly the kind of proggy stuff I'm into, although a lot of this was a little too psy-fuzed for my tastes, but for a set it was a great.

Nice flow, nice mixing, a real BANGAH. I'm also jealous you managed to work in Deep Amok - Darkness really well, I can't ever get that shit right.

Posted by RebeL9 on Oct-10-2011 14:45:

Really glad you liked it! Deep Amok can be a bitch to mix indeed. But after hearing Anthony Pappa use it in his 2001 Innercity mix I felt I had to use it. Wicked track!
