When it makes people shoot politicians.

Censor Fox News.

I'm trying to write a proper reply, but it's the last week before I finish my dissertation... so I'm just posting quick remarks here and there, producing tunes that I leave rendering in the background, and writing like a madman

Oh shit! Hope you do well, mate!

I've got a few years ahead of me before I can call myself a doctor... unfortunately, I'm a late bloomer, and started off in the wrong track (I was first an undergraduate in "International Relations")

My brother has a number of years in that field, but I think he might stay in school. Its easier to do research.

Posted by igottaknow on Jan-09-2011 05:18:

Slylee suddenly dropped out of her "International Relations"

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jan-09-2011 15:09:

Good to see you're still thoroughly enrolled in "Infantile Relations".

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jan-09-2011 15:12:

I don't know why that's "good to see", though. At least Nou doesn't think there's anything wrong with it.

Lira, you no doubt have a brilliant mind.

This is however the Trance Addict C0r, the collective intellect of such amasses to that of a loose stool.

I really don't see why you try and get so deep and philosophical when the greatest minds to dwell within this digital chasm are; a shitpan cleaning bed nurse, a lesbian weather girl that works for Sergeant Bilko and a desperate new romantic obsessed with Orbital.

Welp, this thread just got gayer than two greased-up moustaches wrestling over Lunar Phase 7's rainbow foreskin, AKA "Thursday - Sunday".

Well Barry, when was the last time anything wrestled over your foreskin?

Do you even have one? Are you chopped? Feel bad for you mate.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Jan-09-2011 15:51:

Yep, you got me. The bears just don't wrangle beneath my flaccid extremities like they do yours. *Sigh* What it must be like to to have constant fellatio from bristly orifices that reek of Seagram's!

What ideas then shouldn't be tolerated? I'd be inclined to say that any ideas that put people's life in jeopardy should be avoided,

The main thing in the societies that I have lived in, that has the tolerance at hand, so to speak, is mainly cultural differences through religion.

These "freedom of the speech" ideas, although existing, are only permitted in certain parameters of political correctness. Although you can have your own opinion and speak it out loud, you will be indirectly persecuted by the society. Many times I have seen how people have lost their jobs and been outed due to speaking their minds off. Of course, here is also an issue that regards how we present our ideas. There is a big difference between having a civil, contradictory debate and throwing stones at you because you don't believe in what I do.

Everyone should be able to speak their minds, but I don't think the religious absolutes should write the agenda in a democratic society.

Just my two cents.

enough of this deep bullshit, someone post of pic of jill's ass already dammit.

Posted by Znack on Jan-09-2011 22:06:

I don't think the comparison holds up, as Jack in the example had no reason to believe the earth was the center of the universe. It was as much a guess as Jill's idea.

If Jack had been able to prove that the earth was the center of the universe, he would have a reason for his arrogance.

I would recommend this video to explain what "open-mindedness is:
