For a second tier DJ (not oaky, tiesto et al) expect to pay around �8-�10k.
Going rate 10 years ago in the UK was �5k, but that has shot up in recent years.

Another idea which might allow you to get a bigger DJ is give them 4K plus a comission from ticket sales... like say if tickest are $20, give then $5 from each ticket? or something like that. Might allow you to get a bigger name DJ, dont know what the organisers will think about it, but worth a try.
