my favourite part of the movie is in the beginning when Ingrosso flips out about not having his own car service to Ultra... "what da fuck, da fuck!" lol classic

Posted by MSZ on Jan-13-2011 21:46:

was pretty good, i love watching movies / documentaries about this kind of stuff to say the least. what i found most great about this, is the love between these people. seems very genuine, and the bonds too.

I really enjoyed the doc. A good 40mins and it was nice to see it in B+W!

I wish I could have been there for WMC 2010 to see them. It looked like a good show for realz.

I found it to be utter crap..

-do you know who I am? I'm Paris Hilton
-do you know WHO I AM? I'm Steve Angelo

That's how deep it got..lol!

Axwell's early sounds were something to die for. His early 2000 discography is fukin intense. In my opinion, that was the real house music of the 2000s.

LISTEN TO THIS MASTERPIECE. I want this in my slice of afterhours.

why was Ingrosso's show canceled at Guv?

I know what you mean, but I just can't let go of those piano sounds from back then.

Now I love Angello to bits but honestly when I saw him at BPM it was the weirdest experience ever. I had a blast...danced my ass off till 6am....however...i HATED it at the same time. No flow...no direction...too much "showman ship" (is that even a word).

He spent more times standing on the decks than playing on them and that disappointed me big time.

You probably couldn't tell though cuz I was loving every second of it

he didn't even put his fucking headphones on ONCE!

Would I go see him again...YES

And i would really like to watch this documentary too

Posted by FunkyCrew on Jan-15-2011 16:29:

yeah, I found when I saw Angello + Ingrosso playing, they'd spend more time ^5 each other then paying attention to music
they're still fun to watch
but their sets are garbage I really miss their old sound

Axwel's Ministry of Sound Mix Sessions are mint as well!

yaaahhh, I noticed that too when he was here last January, not one time I seen him with headphones on.....perhaps....pre recorded>?

or just edits to alll one bpm

Posted by bcope on Jan-15-2011 21:45:

its amazing to listen to "lick my deck" and then listen to the stuff that both ingrosso and dahlback are making now, and its not the good kind of amazing.

Love the distorted guitar sound in Buy Now - For Sale.

Used to be...but over the last year or two, Angello has eclipsed him.

Yeah, this was a big deal sometime this year, a bunch of rants and him defending himself on twitter about it because someone said he didn't use headphones and therefore using a recorded CD... I think it was on the SHM forum. Or that some guy next to him posing as a lighting guy was doing it all and he was just bouncing around showcasing.

I love the fact that ppl dont think I am mixing cause Im not wearing headphones all the time .. I play 160 gigs a year , and have djd for 15 years. Just cause someone is doing something different doesnt mean that its fake .. I think all of u who think so should stop being such haters and come see for yourself .. I play the same records everyday I dont need to listen to what I do .. Its my party trick and respect that instead of hating on it. If u doubt it come in the booth or try do it yourself before u judge !! Ok .. Nuff said .. SA

For all you ppl out there who wanna know how its done .. Lemme tell u .., dj for 5 hours a day for 10 years. When you have done that .. Start touring , playing 4-6 gigs a week for another 5 years After that try play on the CDjs. U see the BPM on the right side of the display , u have a pitch and easy way to count the BPM is by looking on the cd u gonna mix in , if 1 bpm is the dif just adjust the pitch to +0.8 or -0.8 depending on if its slower or faster .. After that 0.8 either way is one BPM. So 1.6 is 2 , 2.4 is 3 , 3.20 is 4 and 4 is 5. Ok .. Learn the trax u play and enjoy.

OMG I cant believe I care about haters.. But u know what when you work your ass off and ppl accuse you for being fake. U get upset ..

nice post!

Angello's right, haha what he says makes total sense, especially if you play as much as he does and + he plays so many of his own productions...

fuck, if someone held a gun to my head, I could probably pull off a whole set w/out headphones, it just becomes 2nd nature the longer you play I think... plus his style isn't big long transitions, it's in/out with a few bars...

Posted by Vanos on Jan-18-2011 08:01:

if u know the tracks ur playing and can see the soundwave (e.g. cdj1000/traktor etc.) u can mix easy with no headphones!
