-- Britney Spears goes dubstep, lol

This track is not dubstep. It's like a weird house/trance/electro/pop hybrid, with a tiny little section that resembles dubstep.

In any case, I know she's trying to be creative with her sound, but somehow this song sounds even more generic than normal. Her Circus album actually wasn't half-bad.

Britney Spears made a good performance in the song. But I think the lyrics is not so good for some people.

I didn't hear anything "dubstep" in that song at all.

From Wikipedia:

Musicologists often identify the following characteristics as typical of the pop music genre:

* an aim of appealing to a general audience, rather than to a particular sub-culture or ideology[3]
* an emphasis on craftsmanship rather than formal "artistic" qualities[3]
* an emphasis on recording, production, and technology, over live performance[10]
* a tendency to reflect existing trends rather than progressive developments[10]
* much pop music is intended to encourage dancing, or it uses dance-oriented beats or rhythms[10]

I don't see anything significant in the fact that a Britney Spears record borrows from trending EDM elements.

ahh... what a pity that one of the pioneers is ruining his artistic life, so he changes classical melodic and outstanding compositions for repetitive and cheesy ones... what a change.

I really really enjoyed it.

I had it on mute though.

i've already heard on local clubs twice yesterday, i don't know how my local djs who download 128kbps mp3 from P2P are so up to date with the newest cheese but in any case people seemed to hate the dubstep part, i asked my friends about it and their opinions were "nonsense part, so it's singing and suddenly a weird break appears..." or simply "strange and annoying"

However the trance kick and bassline was interesting for the people... expect more trance raping.

Posted by Quazar on Jan-23-2011 12:05:

I heard a Dash Berlin set on XM tonight, and he dropped a dubstep track.

Honestly, I liked it. The contrast between his extremely uplifting happy trance and dubstep made it interesting.

I know it's not exactly related to the Britney song, but I wasn't about to start a new thread about it.

P.S. I don't mind the Tiesto/Diplo/Busta song. It's not that good, sure, but it's a fun party song none-the-less. Better than the Tiesto/Three Six Mafia song.

You gay bastard.

Also loads fo DJs have been dropping dubstep for months, it's not new. It's pretty annoying now.

Most people here don't actually like music, they just like arguing

Is it just me or do the vocals not fit that track at all??

It's almost as if Tiesto just gave them a tune, and Busta just slapped a rap over the top.

Then just before they mastered it Busta turned up his vocals by 3db when no one was looking.

Stop writing about meaningless crap, some of us weren't aware of it and hadn't our ears damaged yet.
