IMO being its a Tiesto event, it should be more like a legacy thing. Like going from In My Memory to his current stuff or mixing it all up chronologically. But you gotta cater to all
i saw him in chicago in november, AFTER he announced he wasnt doing the trance thing anymore....he still played the classics, silence, traffic, adagio...and if u look at his recent setlists from vegas, he still plays those classics....ill be seeing him in vegas march 5th, ill let u know then....LOL

shit, i can't believe that people pay to see any of those guys. tiesto, aoki, girl talk.. yikes. fuckin' 50 bucks to see tiesto at the rave of all places? what a joke. and no, there won't be any pyrotechnics, almost guaranteed. they didn't allow RiTM to have pyrotechs when they performed a few years ago due to the building not being up to code or something like that, and arguably 3/4 of RiTM's shows are crazy fire and laser stuff.

you know who you can see for free this friday instead of dropping 50 bucks on tiesto? yours truly. at the highbury. BOOYAH, GRANDMA. much better music. you can bring your pills along too, desiderata. bahaha

Did anyone attend this? If so what was it like as far as pyro or lasers? Did he play any classics; Flight 643, Suburban Train, In My Memory, Dallas 4pm?

I heard he played a lot of Dutch House and some Dubstep, no joke.

Posted by drEamer on Apr-16-2011 22:15:

Posted by drEamer on Apr-16-2011 22:16:

Just curious what does your "trance" sets consist of. Wondering what the scene is like around milwaukee. Looking to get back into spinning. Its pretty house dominated in mil-town.

Tech Trance and Trance ala Markus Schulz and Marcus Schossow.

since I do my trance alias for fun, and its not my main focus, Im not worried about crafting my own sound necessarily.

I'll be uploading my set I did last week with Row soon. just haven't gotten to it

Cool, can't wait to hear your mix. It's nice to hear Milwaukee has some trance outlet. How steady are trance djs and sets heard around here?

Posted by apple country on Apr-18-2011 17:41:

Out of who actually plays out,

'Solarstatik' from my crew does a pretty good job on either Vinyl, Tractor, or his Live PA with a wash of Trancey, Proggy, and Tech styles.

our friend 'thegimp!' also plays a good set of Trance/Progressive. He's in Madison, but is moving to MKE if he hasn't already.

our other good friend is looking to get back out. His mixes sound decent, but I need to him to play live for me yet, 'Jose Vargas' is his name, and he's actually a new canidate for my crew.

I've seen a couple guys open for ROW previous, but I don't know if they're from here or not...much less who they were.

its touch and go. Some of our guys and friends drop some oldies from time to time...I don't know of anyone who's based on old stuff.

I mean, DJ Chex was dropping old booty house and techno jams at our gig this past friday at Red Room.....

Posted by Syntonic on Apr-19-2011 23:16:

Yeah I figured not many people would what to here older stuff, but its cool to know some people drop some old here and there.
