i think they meant the additional charge over the charge already for just the passport.

I work with US customs everday.

Its very simple...the officer can refuse you if he wants to
for any reason. they actually dont need a reason...lol

if you show up with a passport that expires i 6 months
they can refuse u...they can also let you in.

its all about the person you get. they dont even
follow their own rules sometimes,

the end.

Lisa, how dare you suggest it's just a picture. it's the picture for the next 5 years!!

It's not like you're hanging it up in your house! lol You're showing it to a custom's officer who you will most likely never see you again, and doesn't even care what you look like in the photo.

lol. so you are saying that my professional make up session before the photo is useless?

I personally try to look as bedraggled as possible for my passport pics. Because that's generally how I'm going to look going through customs somewhere.

hmm. good point. but what if even if you are bedraggled, you still look good?

i was really only joking about the haircut (a little bit).

my passport photos are always a big disaster.

What a diva!

Get your picture taken next time you're at the mall. First thing in the morning is the best time to apply for passport - get there 30-60 minutes before it opens to secure your spot in line.

I wouldn't risk going to the U.S. with less than 6 months remaining on my passport.
