and also most Madison Avenue tracks as well.
"Don't Call Me Baby" is already a classic

one massive classic choon.

can be worked into deep house sets, hard house sets (shudder), trance

wot's wrong with HArd HOuse? there is some relationship with trance. u know, take picotto's "komodo" for instance, it's been on serveral hard house complilations and stuffz. and vice versa.

not to start a new thread, but hard house (or what i consider to be hard house) is all the lisa lashes, andy farley, fergie 160 bpm junk out there. it may not ALL be junk, but that annoying as hell, repetitive kick snare combined with a beat for those with a hummingbird's metabolism makes for verrry similar songs - just not for me. i dont consider anything by picotto to be hard house.. he's like really hard, banging trance.
anne savage showed her stuff, she's mainly known to be HH, but wisely used her Essential Mix set for trance and prog.

if you say picotto is hard house, well, i like him. and some tony devit too, the father of hard house. the late, great devit combined harmonic trance themes with a quick, piercing bassline, which i dont mind (e.g. the dawn)

but its hard for me to find HH to get excited about nowadays

Confusion came out in 1983 - do you mean phatt bass is ripped from Confusion??

still think "Guess Who! - Posse" will make the crowd move, but I just wanted to add a couple:

Rooky - Secrets (Vectrex Mix)
Mat Silver - Memories

Agreed, I can't get enough of this tune! And with the remixes like the DJ Tiesto Full On Vocal Remix I never grow sick of it!

1983 or 85 eh? hmm...i thought new order came out with this one later. hehe. though i knew that they existed back then. hehe. shit, has their style changed!

System F vs. Armin Van Buuren - Exhale
BT & PVD FT. Jan Johnston - Sunblind (original mix)
Goldscan - Sunrise (Dj Tiesto mix)
James Holden - Horizons (way out west remix)

Push - Universal Nation (original mix)

check this track out at trance.nu "Miranda - Sparkling state of mind"

Drunk

I'd say...

Slusnik Luna - Sun
Gouryella - Tenshi [Transa Remix]
Tiesto - Sparkles [Transa Remix]
Justin K & DJ K Mixx - Northern Lights
Major League - Wonder Where You Are [Wonder Remix]
Green Court - Shining [DJ Tiesto Remix]
Rainbow Warrior - La Musique [Instrumental Remix]

Be Cool!

i think this thread's gone to hell. we're just naming songs we like now

speaking of lucid, how about "can't help myself"
and.. x-cabs - neuro 99
one more, sander kleinenberg's remix of scorchio (nubreed 4) is tight

and just to throw you buggers off, its definitely not trance, but M&S Presents - Salsoul Nugget (If You Wanna)
has ripping up all the charts for a while

Posted by breakdown on Apr-10-2001 11:23:

hehe anything by sander kleinenberg is quality..
his productions, djing, etc...... mmmmmm yes..........
my lexicon......

Posted by Fredz21 on Apr-11-2001 05:53:

well guys, I'm not sure how many of you will agree with me on this one, but the one song I've always seen to get a very big reaction from the crowd is Paul van Dyk - "Tell Me Why (Vandit mix re-edit)"

my two cents

Posted by arturob on Apr-11-2001 14:41:

Talking

yup. i heard it @ ULTRA and i was like ... shit

also it, mixed with synaesthesia (pvd remix) rocks as Der Arena in Berlin Part 4. i love that combination.

peace!

Public Domain - Operation Blade isnt a bad song at all.... It was played at Ultra (which dj I 4-got ), and the crowd went crazy... I think Edgar V. or Dj Skribble might have played it, I'm not sure..

Dj. Skribble, before he played "I just died in your arms tonight"

Posted by JayD on Apr-13-2001 14:58:

U know of any other tracks Skribble played ???

Posted by sti3 on Apr-13-2001 17:29:

Cool Couple things

1. While I thought it was common knowledge, but Phatt Bass & Operation Blade are ripped from the "Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix" of New Order's "COnfusion", which came out in 1996, in other words, first!

2. Tracks that get crowd moving. Well, "Deejays, Fans, Freaks" seems to do the job judging from the live sets I've heard so far. We do consider that trance don't we? :-)

Posted by breakdown on Apr-13-2001 18:16:

DFF... hmmmm trance?
welll .... maybe..
i guess.... but i don't like it... it wouldn't make me crazy @ a club

Posted by patticus on Apr-13-2001 19:18:

yep, like i said before, its bad trance.
but the trance mix is alright

Posted by misiek on Apr-13-2001 20:30:

Thumbs up
