Really? That's what you're going with? You made the logo into a .jpg, in turn turning the background white, degraded the quality so much it's unbearable for me to look at and pasted it into your signature?

Please god at least use this:

http://i.imgur.com/m18he.png

Copy that into the image tags and it will look like this:

And I already deleted the PSD. It was a joke in the first place but since you like it I'm forcing you to keep all the copyright symbols and shit so you realize how obnoxious it is that you insist on having that TM on your name.

Yup, probably that it looks quite different?

Posted by DJRYAN on Feb-18-2011 03:57:

took a screen shot so I could get the black one. Thanks. If you have a minute, one like yours would be awesomeness. Little different, red & black color scheme. I'll pay you in inets.

Ah yes, the 2 pixel pink outline around the black swoop. Well done.

Are you on cocaine? There's quite a bit more to it than that. In fact, I'm amazed that you can't see it....

Paste that into your signature and remove the space.

Really? wtf, is there something wrong with the link to the "old" one you posted?

No, there's something wrong with your brain. The new one has a metallic finish, a harder stroke with a smaller outer glow, a much sharper design with harder edges, the shapes have been refined........

Exactly. I didn't say it was otherwise? I asked people which they liked better, the old glowier design or the new sharper design.

the new one looks better, but that top-thingie looked better when it had the same width all over, like in the old one.

Posted by nefardec on Feb-18-2011 09:53:

sharp lines are better.

I think the crescent weakens the whole thing a lot.

Maybe you should try making the arc wider and placing it across the logotype, within each individual letter, so that it's implied rather than presented as an afterthought. This would make the logotype have a unique look which makes it more than just an out of the box tech font.

My general rule of thumb in design is, if you feel that you have to use a swoosh, your logo is probably shit.

NEW LOOKS COOL

I think the new one looks sharper. BTW I know they're cheesy but it's intentional cheese because it's ber recognizable.

New

Old

Lmao, it's not really a swoosh. I know how frowned upon they are Look at what it's pointing to. it starts at the A and moves on. It says both "Sean" and "Android."

Think about how the amazon logo has that arrow that goes from A to Z.

The old one thinned out at the edge too exactly the same way. Look a little closer.

No, you said it was quite a bit different and all but called bas blind for not being able to tell the difference. I couldn't tell much of a difference at first before I looked at it a few times either.

I know, I caught that. Ripping off logos isn't cool either.

uh. It's not ripping off the amazon logo, it's a similar idea? First of all. Amazon's logo is an arrow, second of all it's supposed to look like a smile, thirdly my logo is COMPLETELY different, stylistically, visually and conceptually...

That's like saying getting inspiration from another track when your producing is ripping it off even if the result looks completely different. Not to mention my "swoosh" isn't even displaying the same thing, it's just going from the "a" to the rest of the word.

Well it is pretty different if you look at it in the context I provided. It's supposed to be a new version of the logo and I wanted to know if people liked the glowier design or the metallic, sharper design. It's just like asking someone to listen to two mix downs of the same track, even though it's the same track it can still sound pretty different =]

Maybe it's because I've been graphic designing so long and I've learned to be able see subtle differences in logos, because they really do look very different to me.

Can you see the difference between these?
