I'm just doing my duty as your friend to inform you that your choice in dog is shit. I would expect you to do the same for me, however I wouldn't choose a shit dog. Border collie, miniature schnauzer, or some kind of terrier (most terriers are pretty awesome).

Unfortunately, a border collie needs room to run around. Room I don't have. And I'm certainly not getting some faggy fit-in-your-purse dog either.

And no, border collies don't necessarily need room to run around. They do need a lot of exercise and stimulation though. Which makes sense if you're into dogs that aren't dumb.

You really, really do need to exercise Great Danes, Bas

This is a terrible decision, IMO. Please make sure you have a good talk with a couple of people that own them, before going out and getting one.
