Afgin is by far the best producer making goa music today imo, however this release was generic trance all the way

Tiesto says hes tired of trance, so I guess that leaves Ferry?

I would personally be more excited with the return of someone like Oliver Lieb to trance...

Have you heard any of his sets from the last ~5 years? Straight boring tech-house.

The most we can hope for from the old guard is a few nice singles or an album as they relax and get away from the scene. But no comebacks, no great interventions -- for that to happen it would need a change in production style all over.

Don't worry with my magic wand and the Angel of Trance, we shall bring it back. Yes, I had quite a night and very bored now.

FUCK. What happened to this magical world. The tunes were so good, it seemed every single piece of new music was a bliss, listening to DJ's spin live at Ibiza, relistening a liveset for over a thousand times and falling in love over and over again. Hearing a new tune, being blown away as fuck, and everybody trying to ID, then running to the nearest shop to get it on vinyl whenever it would be available. The feeling Trance gave me on a warm summer's day, closing my eyes and drifting away. Going to bed, and looking forward to waking up and listening to that one tune again. Hearing that magical melody coming up in the break for the first time, and feeling on top of the world. Listening to Pete Tong's comforting voice, whilst enjoying a beer, a cigarette and another fantastic Essential Mix deep in the night.

This music was ours, it wasn't about the best DJ, or EQ'ing a tune to shit. It was a game with some fantastic players, but the fans were always the winners, it was about the crowd, about the music that we loved so much. Listening to a genre in music which nobody cared about, because they couldn't handle electronic music, or thought it was weird.

FUCK.
