Yeah, I used to try this, because I put product in my hair and figured it could fuck with how they cut it. However, after a while I figured that if you go in with completely flat, unstyled hair they tend to assume that's how you wear it, even if you tell them otherwise. When I go in with bed hair, even with day-old gel flaking out of it, they can see how I style it and cut it accordingly.

Do you go to the same barber every time? If you get your hair cut even semi-regularly they should remember how you style it even if you show up with nothing in your hair.

I don't mind getting my hair cut, but for some reason I fucking hate it when whoever is cutting my hair tries to make small talk. Shut the fuck up, cut my hair, end of story.

If you're worried about how your hair is after a hair cut, just wear hats. Fedora's are all the rage these days.

And if you think this is worrisome now, just wait until your hair starts thinning, and unsightly patches of scalp appear after a trip to the barbershop.

Yeah, usually, this time I let a different guy cut it. He's taken off way more than the half-inch I asked for. My head is barely more than shaven.

Fuck's sake, this is going to take weeks to grow back.

Maybe you could ironically bring back the 'poor Brit lice crew-cut'.

I'm just really hoping the four day thing kicks in and by next week this doesn't look so fucking brutal.

I do. It's a chore, and I really don't give a shit how my hair looks so there's no feeling of satisfaction afterwards, aside from relief that I won't have to bother with it again for a while.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Mar-11-2011 22:57:

Why would they bother installing hair in you anyway?

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Mar-11-2011 23:17:

maybe if you stopped getting the Bieber cut you would think differently about it.

my brother in law cuts my hair. i've had the same bland non descriptive haircut for over 20 years. that's the way i want it. i usually keep it grow for 3 to 4 months and then have it cut. i like it more when it's at the latter stages then but since i'm terrible at taking care of 'longer hair' i have it cut eventually.

Posted by igottaknow on Mar-11-2011 23:30:

I wish I had hair to cut.

Now that I got that out of the way, what really bothers me is why is the singular used when it should be plural. You don't get one hair cut so it should be hairscut.

I've had this experience for a long time and through a variety of hairstyles. A dozen different barbers have cut my hair for various prices and to various lengths and the sensation is almost always the same.

Sometimes I have just had outright bad haircuts, where they ignored my requests, took off lots more length than I wanted, bulldozed through the lines of the existing cut and left me with a completely different result to what I wanted. When that happens I tend to deliberately wear a daft hat for a day or two to conceal the damage. Today may become one of thos days.

That's why you need to go to a salon to get your hair cut, and ask for a senior level stylist.

and pay 100 bucks..

id rather shave my head

I went to a salon just a week ago; she took me to the back room, dimmed the lights, and washed my hair with 3 different kinds of conditioner while playing Enya.

I haven't had long hair for like a year.

100 bucks? Lol. My bf pays 40, including tip, for a cut by a master stylist (who also happens to be my stylist, who also happens to be one of the best in Canada ).

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-12-2011 02:41:

And the best part of going to a salon is easily the hair wash/head massage. Omgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Mar-12-2011 02:41:

Fucking master stylist.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-12-2011 02:42:

Why is that funny? A newbie certainly doesn't have the same level of skill/technique as someone with many more years of experience.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Mar-12-2011 02:43:

You wouldn't understand.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-12-2011 02:44:

Well then please explain it to me.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Mar-12-2011 02:47:

Ok, give me a minute.

Posted by Reza on Mar-12-2011 02:50:

I totally Agree

you need to get your hair done by a Master Stylist and not by a Master Bater

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Mar-12-2011 03:11:

i get my hair cut at a salon
while it's kind of expensive...i usually get it cut like 4 or 5 times a year..so i don't mind paying more
and gimme a break with that "ask for the master stylist" shit rofl.

"hi i need a hair cut"
-"alright sandra, cut this gentleman's hair please"
"i'd like to request the master stylist"
-"alright sandra, charge this gentleman 40 bucks extra please"

Posted by Silky Johnson on Mar-12-2011 03:12:

4 or 5 times a year? Lol.
