How the hell does an international oil company's oil spill equate to the fault of a typical southern citizen? OMG my brain hurts just thinking about how DUMB the OP is.



The southerners caused this because, they, what? Wanted tourism to go away? To lose a massive amount of jobs? Wanted their economy to plummet? Wanted their waters to be unsafe? And I am sure you are referring to the teachers, firemen, policewomen and doctors who have spent their entire lives working on the oilworks, and thus it MUST be their fault that these things are malfunctioning?? And when there was an oil spill on the west coast, did we blame the every day person there?

You're right. We don't spend enough on entitlements- social welfare now makes up "only" 35% of all U.S. wages; all those "poor" people with 40 inch flat screens, cars, and $100 Nike shoes living in government subsidized housing need just a liiiiittle more. Spending $1.6 trillion over budget this year is the path to sustainability.

And we'll dump oil and run a $15 trillion economy on magic solar beans and windmills.

Pfft, I think you're the one who needs to gain a little more wisdom in the world if you think every single poor and destitute person living in the US fell victim to it by their own doing.
