Marched in selma alabam together. 'Keep hope alive' was my idea. True story.

My family is friends with some of the Saudi royal family, I played doom with prince bandar and general petreus (sp?) has tried to kick my dads ass when I was in the room . (I come from a long line of smartasses). And I met sting when I was a kid and told him I really liked his face paint, and I asked him all about wrestling (but, I was talking to the singer.)

I'm distantly related to James Watt, the inventor of the modern steam engine.

Don't know many famous people, but I once served Nick Cave a pint of Stella in a London pub.

I have never meet anyone famous. I must go now and cry.

I rented a car once to Dennis Farina.

Posted by Lews on Apr-09-2011 23:24:

Related to Edgar Allen Poe. My great-aunt was kind of a hero in Holland after WWII and became friends with the Queen.

Met Nelson Mandela once.

Don't think there's anything else whom I've personally met. Family members of mine have met a lot of famous people, but I think that's my limit.

Fixed. Why be arrested for something your cats can do for you? Kevin is a smart republican, after all

haha... forgot to mention this one. my dad and I did some business with the Prince of Malaysia (Tunku Naquiyuddin) for a couple of years. He was a pretty cool guy. My dad was staying in Malaysia 10 months out of the year for those 2 years, and was given a ridiculous condo to live in right across from the Petronas twin towers, and a car and driver with royal plates that let him park anywhere. When I was over there it was hilarious... we'd roll up to a restaurant on a Friday night in the busiest section of downtown where you can't buy a parking space. Whoever happened to be parked right in front of the place would scurry out like little cockroaches and move their vehicle so we could take the space. Then when a group of white people got out of the car the people would be looking at is like, "what the fuck!?"

Here he is with his wife:

This one includes his son and his son's wife, who we got to party with in their super secret entertainment room in their mansion... it was some James Bond type shit; you push the top left corner of a 30 foot long mirror in their house and the wall opened up into this disco room with a dancefloor, full bar, leather sofas, incredible DJ booth setup, and flat screens all over the place. Since they are technically muslims, they gotta keep the alcohol hidden... haha. It's weird because his son is the future king of Malaysia and he was mixing me vodka-sodas from behind the bar. He went to Boston College so he's pretty Americanized, which was cool:

Here's my wife with the man himself in their new house... in case nobody believes me. lol

Unless I see a picture of your cats in his hidden disco room I won't believe it. You also need to have a copy of that days New York Times and a picture of the COR on a computer there and on a phone in the royal limo.

me too dude.

i've only met/hung-out/partied with random deejays and whatnot. and the one story i can think of that would be of any interest and relevance, i've said so many times in c0r, it would just be obnoxious to mention it again.

Posted by Chris Crossland on Apr-10-2011 05:05:

Been told I'm related to Nathaniel Crosland of Crosland Hill. Was a Captain of Horse in the Army of King Charles I during the Civil War.

Not really famous but whatever...

My great great grandpa told me when I was young I have some royalty blood in me. Didn't really care back then since I was young, but would be cool to find out. Haven't really found much about it. Probably from a bastard lol.

President Thomas Pierce, related through my grandfathers step family

I see Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile, Armageddon) and Ed O'Neill quite often at my jiu jitsu school. Michael Clarke Duncan is huge, and Ed O'Neill is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt, which means he could kick the ass of 99.9% of the world's population.

I once met Roald Dahl years and years ago at school. Does that count?

Definitely counts. I used to love his books as a kid

Posted by aquila on Apr-10-2011 06:10:

Unfortunately I was too young at the time to relish our discussion. All I remember of him now was a balding old man who had a couple books in his hands.

Shame really, had I been sensible I would've asked him to sign my BFG print.

Roald Dahl was a hero to me growing up. Looking back, I realize that he helped shape my imagination and curiosity as a child. I've revisited some of his children's books in the past few years, as well as read one of his adult books, Switch Bitch, which was twisted. Roald Dahl is someone I hold in such high esteem, and I would have rather met him than any other celebrity I can think of!
