I think Tiger Woods fucked a lot of people's mothers on here.
Tiger changing his swing after his knee surgery is just all the more reason for him not winning anything in the past couple years. One doesn't change their swing and master it right off the bat. The fact that he had major knee surgery, his personal life was ultimately destroyed, his wife left him, and he completely had to change his swing, and he can still be right in the hunt at the Masters on Sunday with all the boy wonders you speak of just shows that this is just a lull in an otherwise unrivaled career.
As for his workout routine, somebody please show me another golfer who looks like that (not just thin, but looking more like a football player than a golfer). The knee thing might not even be a permanent handicap for him. I had Tommy John surgery my senior year of high school, and if anything, it makes your elbow stronger/less likely to be injured again. Obviously it's not the same as a knee surgery, but you can also strengthen specific muscles around a certain joint that help to stabilize it and take less pressure/torque off of ligaments. That was actually an alternative option to my having surgery at all, but for me the surgery was worth not risking completely tearing my UCL.
All things aside, he's still the best golfer in the world, just like he has been his entire career. I don't think anybody was questioning Jack Nicklaus when he didn't win any majors for 3 years, and he didn't have his whole life implode around him during that time. Like I said before, Tiger is to golf what Armstrong was to cycling. When he's really on his game, there's just nobody better. Golf is as much a mental game as it is a physical one, and everybody is seeming to forget that the shit with his wife was less than 2 years ago. I don't think he's really "back to normal" mentally at this point, but it's plainly obvious that he's been progressing more and more ever since he came back to golf.

How bout one who's actually relevant to golf?

He would eat that tiny Colombian's lunch.
Edit: Yes, there are some golfers who have workout routines that are likely close to being on par with Tiger, but they are still definitely in the minority. Plus, the majority of golfers who are actually relevant, who actually win anything on tour, most certainly do not have routines like that (Phil Mickelson, Angel Cabrera, Lee Westwood, etc.). It's just like baseball. Steroids might help you hit a ball farther or throw it harder, but it doesn't improve your hand eye coordination or make you a better baseball player. Steroids or having an insane workout schedule doesn't give you talent. Woods is hands down the most naturally talented player on the tour, and his workout regimen only adds to that. I only brought up his workout regimen to suggest that it's not likely that he's just going to get fat and deteriorate steadily for the rest of his career. I didn't mean to suggest that he is the best because he works out like that.
to be fair, Westwood has sorted his weight out a lot and has built his arm strength up a lot in the last decade. Back in about 98/9 he was ridiculed by David Duval for his lack of fitness & Duval said that he'd never last long term because he wasn't fit like he (duval) was. Since then, Westy is now world number 2, and won lots of events and Duval has won nothing in 10 years or so and down to a rank of 201st currently. Hindsight, David.
The public in general dwells on the obvious. Tiger is the best golfer and he is ripped so you need to be ripped to be the best kind of logic. Golf more than any other sport is about mental/mechanics than physical strength. Tigers recent woes highlights that fact and that the game is bigger than anyone player. To me it makes his prior achievement all the more impressive.
Just as much as I dislike Tiger media hype I also don't like the hate. Since when did sports become about character and moral fiber. Some of the best athletes in history have had personal problems.
I enjoy the way things are now, where one player isn't dominating the field. I respect and enjoy high level play whether its from Tiger or an unknown player.
Are you guys seriously arguing about which golfer looks better naked?
