| Originally posted by Moral Hazard meh, good coffee based drinks first requires good coffee. Most places big enough to have a starbucks probably also have a local cafe which will probably offer better coffee; subsequently, better coffee based drinks. If your town doesn't have one then get an esspresso pump and learn to make them yourself... if quality is important. If one is only looking for fast and easy then any of the chain places will suffice; Starbucks being amongst the worst of them but alright if what you're really looking for is a vehicle for sugar and milk/cream. |

Thank god I live in a tourist city. Our downtown is filled with awesome little cafes and brunch spots. My friend and I go to this place that brews and sells fair trade coffee and order maple lattes all the time. In fact, I think I'll call her up for a date today!

My fiancee's boss grows his own coffee. I just ground some up and made a cup, amazing. Fresh ground coffee > everything
Starbucks is terrific for what it is - a place to get sugary, frozen treats. That's why I go once in a while.
If I want proper coffee, I go elsewhere.
