hi

went to that party and I was surprised!!!

ESO was really good and made the night for me....great stuff....some other great tracks were played through every 30 minutes or so a good trance track came on.....AND YES I ALMOST DIED WHEN SOLAR COASTER CAME ON....

the other great tracks were
1) first played.....Orion - See me here [ ? version ]
2) dont know and it was was awsome, someone please help with this trance tune
3) the third trance tune I believe was Airwave - Save me

and then ofcourse the ESO set

so if someone can please help with the second trance track, which came on approx...20-30 minutes after see me here

Nice to see Firestarter, Trancearmada, LKD, Mavspire, and Dj Eso last night. Me and my b/f (Stylez) arrived around 10 and left around 11:30 because he had to work at 6am. I wish we could have stayed later
. Shit happens, and next time (if there is a next time) I will come back to chill and party with all you guys. Eso, I wish I could have heard your set but I've heard you before (house party), and I'm sure you didn't dissappoint. Im curious to know what happenned w/ the g/f though. Everyone is asknig if she is "okay"
Phantom isn't a bad place like I thought it would be. It sounded like a hole, but was actually quite "sheik" inside.
And Firestarter, sorry I killed us in pool.. Im usually not that bad~! I SWEAR!

As far as the politics goes, why is there so much? Some little fucking club owner has to feel powerful by leeshing his DJs cause he has inner self esteem issues? WTF!!!??? I am getting really tired of all this political shit with music. It almost makes me not want to listne to it any more at some points. Can;t we just play music and lusten isntead of some jelopy having to put his hand sin the control of music? Why????????

First I once again thank you for all your support, you we're amazing.

Robbie C you don't have to be sorry.

As for my girlfriend she was found, but everything was not okay, she was hurt, I cannot say what happen, all I can say is I'm heartbroken ... she's okay now though.

I'm not sure about the situation @ phantom, one of the club managers wanted to put me on at 2 am. Jack wondered in late, and played himself and made another dj spin, didn't make any sense to me, appearantly i was supposed to go to 3:30am lol, I don't get it, no one wanted to hear him, nor the other dj, so I'm confused.

Thank you all again, and I will keep you posted if/when I'm there again.

I had a soccer tournament at 8 am the next day, I came home from phantom at 4, woke up at 6:45, went to the tourney, came home at 2:30 and went to work at 3 until 1 am haha


It�s time to bring a few things in retrospective.

First off all Eso thanks for the password, had my buddies paid the $8 for phantom I think I would�ve got my ass kicked at the end of the night. We were supposed to hit government but somehow I managed to convince them to alter the agenda; perhaps my expectations were quixotically elevated but it�s needless to say that the night was nothing like I expected it to be.

We got there around 12 and the wasn�t even one single soul on the dancefloor, z103.5 licensed rotten CHEESE was in full effect before we were corrupted by the sordid recycled c-rap music set. �J R�bb�� �, I presume you were the guy in the blue shirt on the decks for most of the night, I reckoned that you have no control over the format so I found the �manager� of the joint to complain about the c-rap music; he stated that some yoyos were whining last time there was no c-rap played so he decided to incorporate that balderdash. Regardless of the fact that you don�t have any influence on what the owners want you to play I still hold a grudge over your c-rap set. Sometime towards the end of the recycled shait music half-hour or so you laid a tune by a certain uncivilized primitive junk head known as Eminem, I don�t know the name of the track as I�m exceedingly allergic to that garbage but amid his putrid lyrics he states �nobody listens to techno�. I don�t know about the rest of you but I have a huge problem with this statement! Not merely because I�m as much of a techno aficionado as I�m a trance addict but chiefly because I believe that as any average American that retard from Detroit refers to all electronic music as techno. Unless you were forced to drop that tune I believe you owe all the tranceaddicts a huge apology; unless you were forced to drop that tune you owe yourself a huge apology as you come on this board claiming to be a trance music fan; if you have that track amongst your records then you have a big identity problem on hand brother. In all sincerity I hope you had nothing to do with dropping the most insulting song of the night

I won�t comment much on the distressing DJ situation @ phantom, my grandmother would�ve done smother transitions between the tracks but what I found even more appalling than the utter absence of any DJ skill was the progression of music throughout the night. The slow jams at 2 topped the night, when I head Vanessa Paradis � Joe le taxi (the 1st slow jam) I started laughing my head off, that was just too much. Congratulations Phantom Lounge, you�ve outdone yourself this time. 3 of my buddies walked out during this nonsense and went to chill @ Coffee Time, 2 of us remained waiting in earnest for ESO to take control. Once that last yoyo was done with his sorry set and ESO stepped up to the stage the place finally came to life. The trance nation invaded the dancefloor and it was time to finally hear the music we all came to relish. It is only then that I had the opportunity to run into our German friend, E-Master who was obviously in a state of downright ecstasy since he got the chance to experiment in Mecha�s DJ lab earlier that night Nice meeting you all, E-master, Mecha, Trancearmada, Firestarter, I�m looking forward to the expedition to S.S for agent �00��s mission on the 23rd.

Mecha, dear neighbour do we have the first street in Toronto with 2 Trance Addicts on it hehe ?

Fuck me I forgot to mention ESO�s set, SHEER CLASS buddy, 30 minutes is barely enough to get warmed up so you did a hell of a job!!!

As I sat here and read your ignorent but truthful comments, I had alot of thoughts cross my mind.

You know what, you will never understand the politics of Phantom Lounge.
"I reckoned that you have no control over the format ", you should have stopped your post right there, because your right. I have no control over the type of music I have to play during my set.

There are alot of issues that need to be resolved @ Phantom, and from what I've seen in the last 6-8 months. It wont happen.

So Dj-HordasH. Maybe one day you'll hear me, when I'm playing the music I really love. Heck, maybe you'll be playing alongside me, considering your a Dj right.

That pic is great, pure respect to all that showed up and supported our man DJ ESO.. He�s a great friend and a true DJ because he doesn�t give a fuck about what people want to hear, or what the management tells him to spin. He lays it out plain and simple, quality trance that he himself loves, as well he actually knows how to spin..

That picture .. one word respect.. although it is missing one thing.. the hippie trance lover, arek.

I�m sorry I wasn�t there ESO.. my spirit was there beside you in the DJ booth.

Soon enTRANCE 2.0 will even out the odds.

Yeah ti was great meeting you too. I was jsut dancing and I look to my left and I'm like.. "hey.. he looks familliar. hmms ame hair as the old avatar, same glasses... hmmmm..It IS DJ HordasH!" lol. Yeah u were right, I was in sheer extasy. Spinning manually + the tequla + vodKa Shots really did it for me. hehe..

As for Eminem, I totally Agree. But Robbie C was FORCED to play these tracks. Just like any other Job you get FIRED if you don't do what what the boss asks. I think Robbie C just has to pay his bills like you and I. So he has no choice but to drop the tracks he is told to...

As for Robbie C, ther is other ways to tell a person that their perspective is wrong. You don't need to spell out "Fuck you" to anyone if you are trying to make a valid rebuttal. You should have said "Yes I was forced for a matter of fact so complain to the damn manager/owner". Simple as that cause Hordash's attached comments to that would have answered by you saying that. So Hordash, like many TAs and myself Don't like shit-hop musik or RNB or recycled shiat. As a matter of fact downright wish it would DIE. We are into electronic musik and the right person to complain to would be the owner and or Manager.

As for pilitics, like I said b4 and have argued with Chris C about. Ther is just TOO MUCH FUCKING POLITICS IN MUSIK!!!!!!! Phantom is a battlefield of politics and we could discuss that forever. But like ESO is shutdown by politics, the only way we can change that is by supporting him and trance in that club and chant his name and cheer for him... as well as chant ENCORE!!!! Whent hey cut him off. Hordash is right, we made our point by doing that and I hope next time ESO spins there, ther will be more of US and less of "THEM". We can kick the Euro group out of that place if we want. More TAs Come to support trance and we make our opinion heard. So with that let us set up some goals, for those who want to support ESO and trance/electronic musik in general:

1. There WILL BE MORE TAs NEXT TIME Eso spins. this is neccessary to shut the recycled beats up out of that place.
   
2. More Eso Chants
   
3. We will complain when they cut eso off or keep him till the end (ie. tell management and say u were there to see trance). Applying preassure = Results

As for Eso pushing trance musik inside of Phantom, he really didnt (No disrespect), but thats what he was there for. To play a trance set. I was asked to come in and play the cheese that I did.

If I could play trance all night, I would. But its not my decision really. You know why, because the owners and managers see people dancing when cheese is played, and thats what they want. If everyone was standing around all night waiting for trance to come on I'm sure they would be fast on changing the format.

As for Djs getting kick off. Only one person can be held responcible for these actions. And I wont mention any names, because its not my place too.

I think next week I will try to incorperate some trance into my set throughout the course of the night. It wont be an easy thing to do, but I can always try.

Hip hop and R&B, that may be switched to Latino, it all depends on what I am asked to play.

To tell you the truth there is no point in arguing, because I'm not here to make enemies. The music format will infortunatly stay the same untill I get the green light to change things up.

Well, uhm u swe. When I got there, there ws only 5 TAs there and the otehrs had left. So, ther really is not too many ppl to take pics of so I guess some ppl would be in almost all of them. why don't u come there sometime? then maybe you would be in a lot of them as well .
