Because if you really WERE on vacation you'd be connecting remotely to an ISP based in that country so it would be traceable. IP trackers online show this...

If you were robbing a bank and posted it from your smart phone you would connecting closeby to where your location actually is.

all smartphones have an ip via their providers and your location IS recorded based on the cell phone tower that picks up your transmission.

yes. big brother IS tracking you whether you have an iPhone or not.

Now if only these specific lawyers could do something useful in society (by actually working on cases that improve the community) instead of creating fake lawsuits like these. So what, someone said something negative about you, oh no I'm going to cry to the courts...boo hoo. When someone says something positive about a company and the stock goes up, do you see short sellers going out creating lawsuits against the rumor mongers or even the employees blabbing their mouths about a 1 point move.

The problem is, they have to have evidence that you are up to something for malicious reasons. Lastly, all of these examples are just more attempts by corporations using lawyers to their advantage, to try and silence human beings from having any opinion not in their favor. If this were the case human beings couldn't even talk anymore or they would get sued.

This is a good post nonetheless, thanks for sharing this.

What this really does demonstrate, is the desperation of lawyers these days doing anything to make a buck. Basically they are trying to create yet another market to create billable hours.

It doesn't take much imagination to realise that it could only form part a defence's case, but it's still better than nothing. I'm sure a judge wouldn'd be so thick as to not expect the evidence to be triangulated from more than one source.
