PvD played fantastic the last time he rolled thru. He is one of few trance acts left that has the ability to play 'up to his old standard' on any given night. I wouldn't be trying to play the guessing game on his set quality just because of his flight schedule ~ by that logic I could say because of how he designs his sets in Abelton that he will be less likely to make changes to his arrangement and play similar to how he plays Ibiza the day before. You just never know.

I'll never let the venue deter me from getting quality music ~ but I hate seeing it scare off so many tranceaddicts. More TA's translates into a better venue in my view. Sucks that it really has come to that.

I'll still have to think about it. Already got my Armin and A&B tix, and I really wanted to do SvD. Not sure if I want to do Opera twice in two weeks. My thinking is, if SvD goes off great, I'll do PvD too.

the only thing that kinda erks me about this all thing is that the week of the 17th is already loaded. I really wanted to hear Feed Me, but Paul Van Dyk? He's amazing and I'd kick myself if I didn't go. But also, that Friday night is the opening of Bubbilicious. Not sure what the time slots are for the dj's but Donald Glaude, DJ Dan and Company. That in and of itself is gonna be crazy. I can't do all three, but most likely I'm going to PVD and then drive over to Bubbilicious and spend the night there, assuming it is an all nighter. But missing Feed Me =(

last time Sander Van Doorn was here.. Well, let's just put it like this. One of the best sets I've heard since I've been here in Atlanta. Just amazing. Won't miss this, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, or Above & Beyond for anything. =)

He has definitely had his A game the last few times I have seen him and honestly, since 2011 kicked in I have not seen a review thread with the majority of people complaining.

It would be nice if he brought his Amnesia playlist to Opera, shit I would even go to Opera if I knew that was going to happen. To hear him drop Chicane - Saltwater or Dreaming (yes I am dreaming that he would play that in Atl). Whoa what I night that would be.

Haha. Well I'll try to have my camera ready if I hear it drop, he mixes in and out so fast though.

I usually try to avoid live sets from artist I'm about to go see but I will be looking for a recording of his Ibiza set the night before.. he always drops some classics (other than his own).

there has not been many officially released live sets from him playing at Amnesia.
Closing set 2002
closing set 2003
closing set 2004
middle of the season 2 hour clip from 2007
30 min clip 2008
1 hour release from sometime before September in 2010

I wouldnt count on hearing what he played at Amnesia before you get to Opera.

I had no idea about the rarity of Amnesia sets being released..but now going through audiobeats/alldj I can see this now. I wonder why that is? It's sad though..the only place I can confidently say most dj's up their game a bit.

You can always try and listen amnesia.es and see if they accidentally forget to cut off the broadcast when he gets on
