I thought about current Armin's style few days back and I must admit that he stopped creating classics on ASOT back to 2007. Since, 2008 I can't pick real ASOT classic.

Or it's just me?

I dont know Symphonica from last year imo could be considered classic. Certainly of new age trance anyway.

Its just that he pushes so much crap cuz of Armada. I do wish one day he would just come out and play the stuff HE WANTS TO PLAY instead of all the shite. He does it in bursts in his sets generally but not over a long period. Like ive said before in Ibiza is the most of his true style you will get rather than recycled ASOT hits and his own productions.

Some quality tracks tonight though. Real soothing, euphoric prog numbers. Pity the second hour will be filled with gash berlin and shitonal

yes, there are some excepts... really atmospheric tunes indeed, hope not for Shitonal & Trash Berlin

and probably a few more are non-generic, true ASOT classics. Its just that the properly great tunes are so few and far between. Certainly those that stand the test of time.

I always guage how great a tune is if my friends still go crazy when I play them in my house at parties.
