-- to own all releases off any one label, which would u pick
Pages (3): « 1 [2] 3 »
rather than pick several, which is fine because its all very interesting, i just wanted to know what your favorite one was. Hope that clears it up...
just suppose that the entire inventory of your favorite label was being offered to you, which one would you pick if this oppurtunity were real.
I really like MFS. its somewhat current sounding because of a large stock with many of them not too trendy or played out. Some radiant artists like PVDs mega, monster singles and few hidden gems throughout . a tad techy here and there for some good filler.
I don't think I would get tired of this label very quickly because there is some variety in it while it still maitains a definitive sound. would be able to come up with sveral different cds (compilations) from the label and not sound too dronish me thinks.
Hooj or Positiva (I have some of them, but I have it as my life's mission to collect these labels as well as some else)
Since I own most of the really good and influential albums released on Warp and Ninja Tune, I'd choose a label that's highly collectible and whose albums I've heard, but not yet managed to snatch (and doubt I'll ever do) - like Sending Orbs.
There are also labels such as Touch and Raster-Noton I seldom explore (but like most of the stuff I hear) that have huge catalogues and I wouldn't mind having more of their releases.

Their prime was impeccable though. twisted america = death row of electronica |

HOOJ, Platipus, Eye-Q, Future Classic and Crosstown Rebels

suprised no one mentioned bonzai
back in the day they came out with some quality music
Perfecto
Warner Music Group - cause then i'd get EYE Q and insane amounts of others. Pretty good deal, amirite.
+1 regarding Bonzai.
Surprised no one mentioned Harthouse either. I'd go ballistic for some of that stuff.
Favorite is definitely Eye Q, runner-ups are Harthouse, good ole Bonzai, and Recycle or Die, and I wouldn't mind things like Rising High, ZYX, Jack Trax, Lunatec, Superstition, Platipus, MFS, or Suck Me Plasma.
No new labels on the list cause they are ..available. They don't make me wet when they are just a few clicks away and don't come in a physical form. Some of them do, but still, they don't make it into my dirty dreams.
+1 on Harthouse.
Something along the line of: Bedrock, Hooj, Perfecto, Platypus, Ninja Tune

Hooj or Perfecto, especially if it included unreleased stuff on those labels.

I'd love to have all of Cadenza's releases on vinyl.
impossible to choose, but at the moment i'd go for r&s, rephlex, submerge, dance mania and metroplex
edit: and if the question was reversed, i'd go for Kontor. i've woken up from night terrors, dreaming that my precious records has been replaced by atb in the mix cds and explosive car tuning compilations.

It's funny, I have absolutely no trouble picking my favourite track of all time, but I couldn't choose a label.
D&B - GLR. too much good stuff, too few releases these days.
Trance- odd sublabels of bonzai or http://www.discogs.com/label/Suck%20Me%20Plasma which included a lot of my earlier trance listening amongst others.
