Check out these releases:

What is forest psy? Extremely psychedelic but not necessarily dark... it's meant to be highly organic: the voice of the trees in the ancient woods speaking through the ages.

I don't really care when albums were made when I'm listening to them, all that matter is is the music played at doofs any good? and the last few I've been to is yes.

First off, thanks to Nick and the others for the kind words. You know I always greatly apprciate your support.

Some interesting comments in here. I think a big problem is if you ask 10 people what psytrance is, you'll get 10 differet answers. One person classifies this as that and vice versa. As a result, a lot of people will hear shit classified as some type of psy and write the whole genre off. People will often continue to hold a prejudice towards anything psy releated in the future, missing out on it's evolution.

My hope is that people who previously held pre-conceived notions regarding psytrance will put that aside and explore what is coming out. They just might discover something new and exciting. In the end, throw classifications out the window. If it sounds good to you, then that is all that matters, regardless of whatever someone might call it.

I doubt that, people like dj christian are so locked into their belief that all psytrance is garbage that even if they hear a good track, they will dismiss it as unworthy of their tastes.

I really like his White Label series i always saw them as good full-on trance fillers but his White Label Republic from 2005 just make me cringe.

This track is an exception. And besides it's rather old. Released 2001 i think. Psy-trance nowadays sounds like shit!

I think if you'd pull your head out of your ass you'd realize there are thousands of psytrance tracks that sound like that.

And J00f plays Human Blue tracks more than any other DJ.

Feel free to give me any examples. My view on Psy-trance is it's absolutely hideous to say the least.

I like to slow this track down a bit, to around the 135-138 range

There are more I could list but I'm kinda busy at the moment. Try not to let your opinions cloud your judgement here, these tracks are pretty similar to the one you posted.

I would also like to take this time to spam Atmospheric Energy's new podcast. This set was totally badass and you should all listen to it.

i would agree with ziptnf about keeping an open mind to new stuff apparently referring to DJ Christian's preferance to older psy. However,

not bad for 1999

haven't listened to trance since George W Bush was president but here was a favorite of mine, probably more progpsy than what this thread is looking for... but this bassline
