As Hal said before, there's barely any need for anonymity here, as anyone can hide behind new alts (I, for one, was "Vivid Neo" for a while just so I could be sillier ) and we can often recognise one another because of the way we write and/or the topics we cover (we all know who Tasty Onions is thanks to this).

My greatest concern is: no matter how much of a hippy humanist I tend to be, cowards take advantage of all the anonymity they can get to wreak havoc. It would be just a matter of time until bastards created alts behind a proxy to pull a Radagast, for example... would we be able to ban offenders directly, or would we have to ask you for help? In the former case, would we just kick them out of the thread or could we suspend their actual accounts if they mess it up badly?

These are my objections, but I could be wrong. TA needs novelty. Hell, everything does! Let's try it for a month!

Definitely the former, rather than the latter IMO. If users can post anonymous threads whenever they like, things could get pretty messy, and quickly. Contained in one thread though, I think it could be manageable.

Good idea, but I feel the biggest downside is the thread being too congested with different discussions. Even if it were moderated to remove non-sense posts, it would still be cluttered with who knows how many simultaneous conversations as it would be limited to just 1 thread with no topic other than being anonymous, throwing organization out the window. Maybe I'm overestimating the amount of traffic to thread, just my opinion.

With that said, a trial can't hurt - paralysis by analysis could prevent something pretty useful/entertaining.
