Nope, not going to. Doing that will only sabotage your night. Markus' set was a non-stop in your face action thriller, like a Terminator 2 if you will. Ferry's set remains to be seen, but I'm hoping he'll play a Braveheart kind of set.

So I'm going to identity at palladium and it ends at 11:30 and wanna go to ferry right aafter up the street. How much are tix at the door? Or should I risk buying a presale tix? Do you think Avalon will reach Max capacity by midnight?

Saw on FB that this has changed from "Special 4 hour extended set" to "special extended set", and Ferry's set time has changed from 12-4 to 12-?.

I seriously hope this means he's heard what Markus did and is gonna try to out-do him. Competition is always good.

I think tix will be $40-$50 at the door. Since its the sunday I dont think it'll reach capacity that fast...then again who knows right? Ferry's presale tix isn't selling as fast Markus' and its still not sold out. So I think you'll be ok to get in. I know Im not arriving till 11-11:30 even if i have presale

Ya i hope so too...and not the other way around where he only plays for 2 hours like usual Avalon nights

honestly don't think ferry has the fire power for a 6.5 hr set like markus. but like mentioned above, competition is good

hopefully you guys will get a 4 hr set though, going to suck if he plays a shorter set.

Ugh.. im working late Sun night. What are the chances i'll be able to get in around 1am?

The event page now says the club closes at 4am, and Ferry is playing till close. So it's still a 4 hour set.

Pre-sale tix are now sold out which means 50% of the max capacity is filled. You could still try going at 1.

Pre-partying then heading to Avalon! WHOOOOOOO!

I liked the reference to his residency years ago

he ended up only playing 3.5hours till 4am cuz he was 30min late. The set wasn't that impressive imo :/ but he still played his typical hits.

i thought it was a pretty good set. you're never going to go see ferry and not hear made of love, beautiful, etc... so whatever, it is what it is. he used the extra set time to throw down a pretty good variety of older and newer tracks, bangers and hands-in-the-air trancers, so i enjoyed it. highlights of the night: his remix of madagascar and ummet ozcan - reboot. reboot BANGS on avalon's speakers, holy moly.

Most of my friends and I thought it was an epic set! The floor was still packed when Ferry dropped the last track. I particularly liked the last two hours when the sound took on a more intoxicating and dreamy feel. Kristina's set was awesome too, keeping in mind that she had to hold back for the headliner!

Ran into SO many friends there, and I know that many others were also out of town so pretty impressive turnout for Sunday of Labor Day weekend imo.

seeing as how i haven't seen ferry really provide a 1+ hour set other then palladium back in 2010 for his compilation release .. i loved it! he brought some of the old, with some of his new, and always his classics. it was a good set.

It was great. I agree with in2muzikk, the last two hours were the best part. During the last hour you could tell Ferry was just going through his collection choosing what to play, and that it wasn't planned at all.

And he finished with "Rock Your Body Rock"! Awesome.

haha i'm sure i annoyed a good amount of peeps with my yellin and jumpin around .. vodka/redbull just gives me wings .. but what can i say .. i enjoy the music

If that was the "Twice in a Blue Moon" set, I didn't like it much, thought last Saturday's set was 10x better! I guess if we all liked the same music, things would get boring though...
