I liked Octavian a lot more in the 2nd season. As for the actors, I've seen most of the major characters in other things since then, but nothing too big. The guy who plays Vorenus did one of the voices of a main character in one of the Call of Duty games lol. The guy who played Titus Pullo was the star of the second Punisher movie, which was pretty bad.

I saw the first ep of Rome a ways back and didn't think much of it, but who can judge from one ep. Haven't tried Deadwood yet, but I have a friend who swears by it.
