The article doesn't specify who forced the victim to eat dog feces, but you might look slightly less foolish if you focused your outrage on the people who have actually been arrested and changed with crimes, rather than the victim's parents, who, at least so far, have not.

i am surprised that everyone has glossed over the icy-pole thievery aspect of the case. obviously there are mitigating circumstances (such as wanting to get the taste of dog shit out of one's mouth) but i can't understand the claims of 'innocent' child when quite clearly she was a kleptomaniac.

It's endemic here where I live. I don't know if the specific beliefs I posted in my previous post are part of the orthodoxy, but there's something not too distant from that in Kardecism - which is quite strong around here.
