love the production on some of his works. Most people listen to him just because he's popular and it's the cool thing to do. His voice is annoying though and his rhyme schemes aren't all that.
what i dont get is how anyone can like a rapper who raps about killing their wife? i mean come on this man needs serious help.
i dont love him or hate him, but the kid can seriously freestyle. thats how he got started was freestyle contests.
I like eminem. Lets be real here, most of his songs arn't all popish, you would know if you heard any of the stuff not played on mtv, besides if you don't have some mainstream tunes you arn't selling records, and If you arn't selling records you arn't being successfull. Another thing I don't understand is how you guys can all bash him for his homophobic remarks, and then call him a gay ass or whatever.

I'm for him...he's got some tight beats and his lyrics do flow no matta wut u ppl say. and honestly, if u gonna piss on him for his bad rhyme schemes or wuteva, name someone else who can top him. and hey, for a white guy to take it so high in the black hiphop world, more props to him. but yea, wut boomer187 said about Eminem being an entertainer is on the spot. some stuff he raps about is serious, but most of it is to entertain and poke fun at the world.
sidenote: ludacris has some crazy freestyle skillz.

And by the way, what you guys fail to realize is when you bitch and moan about him hating techno, or being anti-gays your helping him sell his music, your making a big deal out of it. Also of all the people who say he is an entertainer first, and an artist second, how many of you have heard more than 2-3 of his non radio tracks? Most of his lyrics are very serious, besides that man can freestyle like no other. He's probably among the best in the world right now.
While I will agree that I am not a huge fan of Eminem. I do have to say that this song just totally pulls on my heart strings when I listen to it. Maybe you have to be a parent in this situation to understand it but...

Sorry it's so long, but I felt it had a place in this thread...the lyrics are definitely better than anything I've heard from him in the past. And that's an understatement.
I don't listen to eminem or Rap in general. If I did, it would be just a very few songs. On the other hand, I'd choose Eminem any day over some fucked up Death Metal band who tells you to kill your teachers and friends and commit suicide... There's no worse music.

that can beat him lyrically.(and those few that perhaps can,still haven't proved themselves on a record yet.)
