Restrictions are good in some cases. There are really no genuine needs for civilians to carry submachine guns and assault rifles. And concealed weapon licenses are as well as dangerous, just flat out insane. If sane regulations are imposed, and registration of all weapons to a registred gun owners card are introduced on a state level, it will be easier to track down illegal weapons/harder for people to obtain weapons to be used in crime. That's at least what I believe.
And to go back to the subject of military type weapons, I think Gun Clubs should be allowed to have a certain ammount of "special weapons" eg. Assault rifles, high precision sniper rifles, SMG's, for use on site by members that have passed rigurous lessons in security. Cus you know, big guns are fucking fun
Edit: There should also be regulations on how you should store your weapon. Safely secured, and seperate from ammunition being the the main point.

Yeah, it's pretty much a variaton of what we have in Norway. We hardly hear about even murders in Norway, let alone people getting shot. At least compared to many other countries. Granted, we do have a rather small population.

Mon visage when I conceal carry:

Owner is armed. Please steal my gun and kill me with it.
Guns dont kill people. Americans kill people with guns.
While I think gun control is important, it wont solve anything in this country. There are already too many guns out there on gray and black markets. We have a society that has no qualms about killing each other over stupid shit.
Making guns illegal in the US would do just about as good as it would to make guns illegal in Iraq or Afghanistan. Same culture that does not respect human life when it comes to settling differences.

A gun thread? This video seems appropiate to post.
Guns don't kill people. Fear (root of all hatred and ignorance) does that job for us.
