that's exactly what im saying (though im not sure you've written it correctly- should that be "your enjoyment is equated"??). the specific nature of the target of the act played no part in my enjoyment, though as i already mentioned, even more helpless targets may have increased that enjoyment. also had they managed to throw some racism in, that too may have increased my enjoyment.

i honestly didn't notice a sexual component in the equation (other than the chick appeared attractive). it certainly did not increase or decrease the humour i found in the act, because her attractiveness (or not) was not relevant to me.

It's not truly sadism if there isn't a sexual component.

Enjoyment is the reflection of the psychological need being satisfied in much the same way that my aggrievement regarding the video is a reflection of transference in the form of subverted hostility masquerading as empathy for the victim. If I'd said your enjoyment is equated with the satisfaction of your psychological need I would have defeated my aim at describing your enjoyment as the response to a psychological need being satisfied.
