I heard Deepchord played live on the dance floor.

I ended up at Circus, Stefano Noferini played cheese generic tech house but it was my first time there since they renovated, and I'm impressed. Place looks great and those speakers are fucking beasts.

Shoddy vs unorthodox is a fine line... to me it felt like he was trying different things out quickly, looking for the right crowd reaction (given the time constraints)...

Had a blast tho (last 30 min especially); some very good tracks in there.

I absolutely loved Levon's selections. I agree that he was struggling to find his groove at first and that most DJs would have played harder considering the time slot, but the music more than made up for it. This wasn't only music for the body. It was also music for the mind and the soul, and I was loving it. And his mixing. Oh my god. This guy mixes vinyl better than most people mix with CD players or a laptop. Overall I had a really great time with great company.

No scratching or mash ups, but abrupt EQ cuts as opposed to your standard EQ blending, he'd swap the hi's in quickly and drop the bass out, he'd make his own drops, he kinda re-wrote the rules for house mixing IMO... also had a lot to do with his track selection, just stripped down house with no real breakdowns or white noise filler which definitely made his style of mixing work. Just innovative transitions from sound to sound, which during an afterhours set might not work so well, but club hours, when you're drinking, was just perfect.

Also like Adam said, 2.5 hours of straight quality vinyl. I've never seen a DJ so fluid and comfortable spinning wax. Yeah Traktor is awesome and the possibilities are endless, but last night I witnessed an artist on an open canvas.

One transition he just dropped the volume and started another record and again it just worked, dunno why.. I've never seen a DJ at UN get a standing ovation, just a solid minute of cheers.. he threw his hands up, lowered the volume and put on a trip hop record as everyone walked out, fucking perfect.
