i kinda agree... I dont think he sucks as a DJ but what has upset me is that he has changed his style from uplifting to progressive with a bit of techno. He has kinda sold out by following the masses. I miss the good ol' days of trance energy and mysteryland etc. back in 1999 and 2000

I got the feeling that Triesto isnt playing the music he really likes

yes i totally agree with this. And its true.. if u dont enjoy what ur playing then u wont mix well.. and u wont put on such an entertaining show (ie. like he used to)

mmm that's why I became a AvB fan since Mysteryland. That guy became one with the people on the dancefloor!

I take it your judging Tiesto by others comments then. You also decided he is a fag for jumping up and down trying to touch the sky. Tiesto doesnt spin Progressive..If hes becoming any-thing then you could say hes swinging more towards tech-trance, but even thats exageration. I think you judge tiesto by a first time view, he looked gay and trainwrecked so you will never agree that he is a good DJ.

]Bottom Line - Dont like Tiesto...Listen to DuMonde, Digweed, PvD.

No problems, just dont attempt to start flame war and use stupid threads....Cany beleive i even replied but this thread blows.

tiesto a talented dj/producer, well maybe not all tunes come out are top stuff
but most are good.

yeh but oakenfold is out of the trance picture as most people (apart from probably his "die-hard" fans) are concerned, so you cant really use him as an example. i mean if looking at oakenfold is what you need to do to make tiesto look good you have got a bit of a problem there!

facts..

>no new productions for over one and a half years

>99% of remixes this year = total cash ins which he does not even play himself

>99% of 'dj tiesto' remixes are not actually done by him

> djtiesto: 'i see myself as a popstar now'

> he plays the same set of tunes constantly for 6 month periods

> his mixing is very poor

and so on and so on.

oh and

he jumped on the techno bandwaggon and plays out of date techno tracks

la rock . 1 1/2 years
gatex. 3-4 years



he struggles to beatmatch his dull as fuck trance, so techno is a bit of a challenge to say the least.

he has not got the skill to play techno

and does it because he thinks it makes him 'cool'

after all 'he is a popstar now'

I just had the opportunity to see Tiesto for the first time this past Friday at the last stop for the Area 2 festival at the Gorge here in Washington state. He is the only reason I went. I was super excited to say the least. Well after it was all over, I can say his set was amazing however it did not blow me away as I expected. I have to agree in saying that I feel he is overrated. His track selection was not that amazing and I was truly surprised by this. To my surprise he dropped many older tracks. Personally, I cannot stand Lethal Industry and he just had to play that which turned me off a little. Also I'm not going to attack him personally saying he is a fag or anything for touching the sky but he did hop around in the tightest little green striped shirt I have ever seen anyone wear. I was actually surprised at how small and puny Tiesto was. He was like a little boy on those big decks! Overall I'm glad I finally got the chance to see him and he did put on a decent set.

Tiesto tours 2 much, he tours like 300 days a year.. therefore no time for new songs, etc..
He IS getting very very boring to me also.. Same songs on every set he plays..

the fact that you probably believe this makes the comment even more laughable.

I have seen Tiesto 4 times so far and he's been amazing all times. Sure i can admit that his newer sets are not as energetic and uplifting as before (which i do really miss) but his transition into his new style has been executed with sophistication and a unique style. The tracklist that is played by him nowadays is rich... in its own way. If any other dj were to make that transition... they would horribly fail. He's doing a good job with the style that he has,,,,, but not as good as before. However, he still plays alot of trance....like Jones and Stevensons's First rebirth, & The Prophet to name a few.
Lets hope he goes back to his style from his Eneregy 2000, Helaas Geen and Sportpalaeis sets in 2000!

1. Is this really bad??? I think he has done so many great productions I don�t care if he�s getting a bit slower..

2.Perhaps those songs don�t fit in his sets???!!

6. he has not the best mixing skills, but they are more than enough..He has done so many great sets...
