They are instead investing their time in securing a better future for everyone by holding signs and congregating in public spaces, severely inconveniencing the people who hold the jobs that they, themselves, went to school to obtain in the first place! |

What exactly are they protesting?

People are going to need to start starving to death on the streets before this lazy ass population does anything about it, and even then.. who knows? Hopefully my part of the country wont be a part of the country by the time that happens.
Do people seriously think that all of the discontent in this country is flowing from people with "women's studies degrees?" Or is that just some trolololo?
And it's funny because I bet the vast majority of people here disdaining these "kid" protesters come from the exact same background and age group, lol. They simply happened to be a bit more successful, due to whatever random assortment of factors went into forming them.
Meh.

the local unions are getting involved with the wallstreet occupations, if the unions back this - the rallys will get bigger and more organized

don't know if I wholeheartedly agree with this but I did LOL

you know this thing is spreading when you have 1000+ people at Occupy Dallas. Camped out less than 4 blocks from my place.
I have to say I'm not sure why the protests seem all that implausible to some people in this thread. The reasons they are protesting aren't new and I've even articulated them, several times, already. Yeah, protesting for a four day work-week definitely seems silly but I think that's largely a red herring issue. If you're ignoring the real issues driving the demonstrations in favor of latching onto their perceived weak points, I have to question what news source you're using.
