Hopefully this takes some of the media attention away from Amanda Knox for a while.

stock will drop in the next few days between 5-15% then by the end of the month will be $400. Buy stock when it drops 10% then you will make 10-15% in 4 weeks.

‎"Im straining to find a cultural analogy for Steve Jobs and am struck by the fact that I have to leave the business/tech fields entirely to do it. You can do it if you go back far enough Henry Ford and Edison pop to mind, but that's awfully far. The obvious modern comparison is to Bill Gates, but that doesn't work. Gates, like Jobs, is capital-I Important to the computer age, but in sort of the same way that ancient cave painters were important to the development of art. Jobs started out as a cave painter too but kept at it until he turned into Rembrandt. I think Lileks is close to the mark in comparing him to Walt Disney; my first thought when I heard the news was that only Steven Spielberg's passing today would hit quite as hard. The common thread among those three is that they all made magic, but Jobs put it in your hands so that you felt like you were the one making it. Thats the crucial difference between Apple and Microsoft Gates made computers easier to use but Jobs made them objects of wonder. He made magic, literally. Theres no greater epitaph."

Speaking of Google, his modern day contemporaries: Sergey Brin & Larry Page. No less, perhaps more. Just more ubiquitous, not as immediately noticeable. No fancy turtle necks. No fancy showcases. No draconian dramma. Oh, and respected purveyors of open platform/freedom of choice and speech.

Fucking hell guys, a bloke has died of a horrible disease and you are already making jokes about it?.
I can't understand the world these days, you can laugh and make fun of shit like this, yet make a comment/joke about race etc and your scum???? what the fuck!!!

Out of order in my opinion, nobody would like it if it was their friend/family would they.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Oct-06-2011 02:16:

iGrieve Differently.

Inside, I trully am deeply saddened, as much as I disliked his ideology of late. I think he was a brilliant man and sharp business visionary. Heck, I envy the man. However, sad fact of life, as Steve said himself:

quote:
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven dont want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Lifes change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

No diss meant.

edit: qute above my new sig.

I just don't get affected by the personal events and/or deaths of celebrities I don't know, and find doing so a bit ridiculous, if not, at the very least, mock-worthy. It's one thing to laude the man's accomplishments upon his passing. It's another to get personally attached for no ascertainable reason.

Posted by idoru on Oct-06-2011 02:40:

^ That.

Furry muff fella

I just get fucked off with sad little fannyboys wanking away in their bedroom and getting amusement out of other peoples suffering, same people would be feigning outrage at a racist comment etc.

I barely know who steve jobs is and never owned any apple shit either but think taking the piss out of someone who has just passed away a few hours ago from a horrible illness and suffered shit nobody should have too, dunno if its because he was loaded that people think he's fair game or what, I just find it a bit sick.
