The thing is ... even as a popularity contest I don't see how this list is that accurate anymore. When I think of popularity I think of the pull the dj has and his ability to draw people to a party / club.

There are some random names on there, and you mean to tell me they are more popular and in terms of popularity have more DRAWING power and command bigger booking fees then the likes Sasha / Digweed / Hawtin / Vath etc? If you put Pete The Zouk in any city across the globe in a competing club against any of the aforementioned names I doubt he would out draw any of them. Which would tell me that he is not in fact more popular then them ...

It only means certain segment of edm crowd voted and that is mainly fanny trance and commercial house crowd.

They should probably just change the title to "Top 100 EDM Producers". How many people are actually voting for their respective choices based on the quality of the sets they've heard from each vs. the tracks they like? Mostly the latter I'd imagine, especially when it includes non-DJs like Daft Punk and the Bloody Beetroots.

Any non-producing DJs on here at all?

P.S. I've been lol'ing the entire night at this list, honestly it's more of a funny feeling to me rather than an angry feeling... I'll be looking at this for the next few weeks to make myself laugh

Back when i was a kid, Sasha and Digweed were top 10 DJs. What has happened to this world?

This might just be my ignorance of some of the up-and-comers (or possibly people who've been around forever in which case I have egg on my face) but I have no idea who any of these people are.

This list is just peculiar. In what world is Sasha or Digweed or Eddie Halliwell that far down the list?! I mean Halliwell never even really did anything *but* DJ until recently. I know it's a popularity contest but still, c'mon.

Still, not really surprising. I'm not entirely complaining, I mean Guetta might not be my cup o' tea but guys like him and Afrojack have brought a completely new crowd of clubbers into the scene in the past handful of years so it's not surprising some (or all) of them got involved in this.

Goes to show, people have no taste in this music anymore

Hmm... interesting. I agree with Guetta winning this and I agree with who is in the Top 10... what I don't agree with is the order within that Top 10.

Don't get upset folks.. it's just a popularity contest -- I see the lengths some people go to cheat on the TA Poll so I can only imagine what DJ Mag has to deal with. I always find it baffling when ppl try to scam the system and yet have no clue wtf they're doing... wish I could mention some of the stupidity I've seen this year but then I'd be giving hints away that would help the scammers out for next year.

Some people want me to extend the TA vote beyond Friday (because they don't like these results) but I'm undecided on that.

Digweed and Sasha would always float around 4th-8th 5 years ago. And that was because trance kept taking over because of avb+tiesto.

That is a serious hurting list or the people who voted for these djs have just discovered the dj mag top 100 and voted for all the djs that we dont want to be at the top.

You have to admit, it is incredible that Tiesto is near the top for 10 years! Regardless of how much you like him, that is quite the staying power.

Look at how far down guys like Cox, Sasha, and Oakenfold are now. They started at the top, when the DJ mag first started running this contest.

Tiesto's team sure has done a good job over the last 10 years.
