Also, I've you've been on this forum long enough, you'll see that not only trance is discussed on TA. In fact, most people first entered this when they liked trance music and their musical taste simply evolved over time to different genres.

I am surprised PvD hasnt dropped out of top 10 yet.

Regardless, the top 10 will be pathetic as expected.

yeah. it seems like a lot of people here don't like trance at all, in fact, unless it's being played by j00f or chris lawrence

So I take it the purists aren't going to be very happy at the results then? Polls like these very rarely reflect any truth and just end up a popularity contest.

As someone who isn't half as clued up on trance and EDM as the majority on here, I don't really see that many problems with the results so far but then again my trance education thus far is mostly from ASOT and GDJB(not popular, I know). That's part of the reason I chose not to vote.

This is worse than the official one.

2. Above and Beyond
3. Markus Schulz

Markus should be #1 for sure...

I have seen 3 sets of Above and Beyond this year and really liked only 1 of them...

Eh, trance purists don't really care about this poll, or any other (that is, a 'purist' who's been listening since before 2005). Mostly we just snicker at all the bitching and clawing that goes on among those that feel polls are the end-all-to-be-all, definitive authority in dictating superior taste (or something).

Still, funny to see Tiesto slowly continue his drop within the Top 10.

Maybe, but he doesn't seem the sort that would get votes from regulars around here, much less the hordes of Armada followers that got Dash Berlin a Top 15 spot.

Put another way, fellow electro-house acts like Guetta and SHM are a good 20 spots below him. Avi seems like a lone wolf surrounded by your usual TA Poll high-ranking cracker-trance names (and Fleming).
