The nice, more socially outgoing people are bound to be fucking petri dishes, you know?

Fuckin' airtight.

All of our cells are actually in a mere temporary alliance. If they receive the right commands, your brain cells, liver cells, heart cells, skin cells will all disband, disintegrating your body in an instant.

You can breathe in space, they just don't want us to leave.

Isn't this a well-worn plot device for innumerable shitty sci-fi/horror stories?

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Nov-10-2011 21:49:

Yes, they decided long ago they could escape detection in plain sight if they formulated a contrived mythology easily dismissed by the competence of sanity and the shroud of fiction.

AHA!

So it turns out we are just reservoirs of novel genes for bacteria to grab at their will? Fascinating.

Dude, except for SYSTEM-J, everyone in this thread has a black and white avatar. Cosmic.

I guess being a nurse makes me a bigger germ puppet than the rest of you all. IN YOUR FACE.

I think I see some brown in yours, Eddie. Now go over there. Go on.

I've always wondered how much money hospitals spend on soap every year.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Nov-17-2011 18:34:

Infection control in general I'm sure is a large portion of their budget.

You almost seem to be implying frivolity here.

Posted by srussell0018 on Nov-18-2011 00:28:

Not that, just that on television the doctors use a brand new bar of soap each time they scrub in and discard it immediately after. It does seem a bit overboard considering they put sterile latex gloves on after washing anyways.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Nov-18-2011 00:31:

Lol, television. They use soap dispensers with liquid soap.

Posted by srussell0018 on Nov-18-2011 00:36:

Yeah I actually just looked up a youtube video on the proper surgical hand scrub. The package isn't a bar of soap it's a scrub brush with some kind of iodine solution in it.
