Digital I have a external 1.5TB drive full and its starting to bleed over into some of my other drives.... i need to do some major digital housekeeping.....

I know some of you probably have an entire music store on your computer.

I'll never listen to all of it. It's almost like collecting tiny glass animals for me now.

I'm OCD about space on my laptop so I tend to delete stuff right after I'm through with it, unless it's absolutely classic.

You must get pissed when you randomly think of a song you deleted months ago and can't remember its name.

Two boxes full of DVDs full of tracks... so in and around 4TB. Thats when I was listening to trance/prog/house between 2004-2007 or some shit. Plus I got sets in there also.

All I can say is, it is a fucking mess

I don't have that much, actually - less than 10 000. Mainly all my discs ripped onto my computer plus some random crap I downloaded when I used to do that thing.

How many of those tracks have you lot listened to more than once?

BBE - Seven Days And One Week (probably one of the first in Holland, I ordered it in Belgium, was the first to ask for it, must have been 1996)

Nylon Moon - Sky Plus (1996)

Phase The Face - Phase The Face Part II (1998)

The rest I sold to a friend.

it doesn't seem like much, but my Beatport bill is astronomical..

and this doesn't count 500+ pieces of vinyl and gb's upon gb's of live mixed sets..

It also doesn't include mainstream tracks like Aerosmith or P-Diddy.

Amazing how people can have so much music and still have such shitty tastes.

The real measure is your scrobble count on last.fm.

Nothing else matters.

Too much internet radio has dug into my count (though since getting Spotify I am skyrocketing).

Posted by Zharen on Nov-30-2011 11:03:

About 2,000 full length tracks, a fifth of those bought legally.
Two dozen different cd albums, purchased legally.
8.6 gigs of livesets and mixes.

It's not a lot, but I've pretty much listened to all of it at one point or another.

Nah, it's artist count. No point having a million scrobbles from twenty artists.

Hrm thats true I guess.

As of this morning I have 11,249 scrobbles over 792 artists.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Nov-30-2011 19:34:

12,615 from 2,547 here.

With Spotify, Internet radio and Soundcloud, the amount of music you have on your hard-drive is more or less irrelevant.
