I'm in this year! First timer. Anyone who complains about that lineup shouldn't bother going.

Those are the ones interesting me so far. Much less techno I hope they start lining more Techno/minimal acts!

really eh...i will take a look tonight.. festival is definitely expanding like crazy in the last few years..

Public Enemey! I'm so excited for this! Why do so many people think the do not belong there?

I guess it's time to start the Official 2012 DEMF Thread, i'm late this year!

And yeah, my friend got his rooms at the Holiday Inn Express last night, said they're almost booked full.

I got my DoubleTree rooms in Jan, pricey, but can't beat that room, suites for all!

Because it's an electronic music festival Take your hip-hop elsewhere

Or, you could just stay home.

This isn't the first time a Hip-Hop act has been booked for the fest, and it isn't the first time Public Enemy has been booked to play alongside electronic music acts.

Solid looking lineup so far. Our funds are needed elsewhere, so not attending this year, but I can spot a few acts I'd be getting down to if we were...

Lil Louis (!!)
Public Enemy (just for nostalgia's sake)
The Wizard aka Jeff Mills (Mills tends to bring it hard when he plays in The D)
Derrick Carter
Eddie Fowlkes
Ian Pooley
Juan Atkins
Kevin Saunderson
Kyle Hall b2b Jay Daniels
Mike Huckaby
Mr. Oizo
Rick Wilhite
Roni Size
Stacey Pullen

Its not that they are not available...i think its that they have not opened blocks of rooms yet.

Ive been looking at the Renaissance since december...and that weekend keeps showing as not available or full rate at 269/night.

Based on what I see so far, I'm staying home! Bummer, I had a great time at DEMF last year.

I highly recommend catching Radio Slave to anyone going. Saw him in Miami last year. He was on a secondary rooftop with a pool while Cassy was on the primary one. He played some powerful grooves infused with mystical sounds and chain smoked like a champ. Myself included, there were less than a dozen watching. It was magical.
