You know what?

I do have some emotional attachment to McDonald's and I'm not ashamed of that at all! Back when I dated girls from the Russian Motherland, that's the place where we could go hang out (embassy rules, don't ask); when I was a kid and my family travelled across Europe, that's the place my siblings and I would always go, so much so that "sembol" (a poor attempt at saying "symbol" was one of the first words I learnt, referring to the Golden arches); hell, a word dictionary from a German MacDonald's was my first contact to most European languages and I still have it on my wall; and, for all I care, if I suddenly found out I could eat meat again, my first reaction would be to jump over the counter and gorge myself on McNuggets until I burped enough methane to condensate a bloody feather!

ayh but you're in Australia...who knows what that tastes like.

I guarantee that it doesn't taste the same.

You're probably right.

hell no it's not! taco bell is amazing! the meat is disgusting, but i don't eat meat so i love it. they are the only drive thru tex mex place that doesn't put lard/bacon grease in their refried beans. they'll make anything for me with beans instead of meat. mexican pizza, chalupas, cheesy gordita crunches... all so good. my favorite thing on the menu, however, is the cheesy bean and rice burrito. mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm guilty of doing a maccas run in the morning every now and then

Posted by PivotTechno on Dec-21-2011 12:43:

Haven't had anything resembling fast food in close to a decade. Don't miss it - your taste buds really do change once you make certain dietary shifts...

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Dec-21-2011 12:49:

i make sure to buy GE food to piss off fucking diet nazis like pivot.

I fucking hate madonnas so much. and the empire that it has on the beef industry is disgusting in itself. the idea that madonnas owns thousands of meat "farms" across the great plains is sad.

Hey, people can shove whatever the hell they want down their gullets - I used to be a total junk food maven in my 20s, but I generally looked and felt like shit. Nowadays, people usually guess my age to be about 10 years younger than I actually am, so I must be doing something right.

Posted by Quazar on Dec-21-2011 13:10:

I have McDonald's once or twice a month. I love the fries and their 3-for-$1 chocolate-chip cookies. They have decent iced coffee, too.

It doesn't make me feel bad after I eat it. Neither does Wendy's or Taco Bell. Burger King, on the other hand, sends my stomach into "WTF" mode within 30 minutes of eating it.

Posted by Lunar Phase 7 on Dec-21-2011 13:22:

tbh the mcchicken nuggets are not THAT bad for you.

Diet nazis? You mean people who actually care about what they consume? Funny. Give it a try some time. It's worth the hype.

Posted by PivotTechno on Dec-21-2011 17:48:

Hey look ma, a sane person!

Srsly though, half the world's problems are due to a large number of people speaking with their dollars like they have a kindergarten education.

Posted by Woony on Dec-21-2011 18:48:

I really like me some Burger King if the chance arises. I don't really find it disgusting but then again, from what I've gathered the fast food in the US is a lot worse (food not quite as industrialized here) and I've never had US fast food so can't really judge that.

Posted by zyklon-jay on Dec-21-2011 19:02:

I eat healthy, but recognize that the organic food industry is a big scam. Normally I wouldn't cite Penn and teller to prove a point, but watch their bullshit episode on organic food.

I love that show.

Posted by meriter on Dec-21-2011 21:24:

I just look at the ingredients list and if it's more than a paragraph long of shit i've never heard of I don't buy it. Try to get organic food when it's realistic but I'm just so lazy. Shitty food is easy and fits in with my sedentary american lifestyle
