I received a couple of mail from them and they were very rude to me.
I must say, for someone who's made an inferior DAW (yeah, the beta's on the deep webb yo) to anything I've ever tried before, they sure have an attitude. I will wholeheartedly be boycotting this developer from hereon out.

Any beta testers here?

cracked plugins for the most part crash the same or less than their legit counterpart. Most studios have a shit lot of cracked software they own on their systems.

You sound like someone who works for Ableton

What rubbish. All the legit stuff crashes too.
This is a very smart feature to add.

Have to say, I like their attitude. Cross platform (single license), hates dongles and complete multi-usage platform.

looks really cool, hope it pushes Ableton to up their game and come up with some cool new stuff

Posted by wayfinder on Jan-23-2014 17:44:

Laughing hard at just how often he has to consciously avoid saying "like in Live"

This.

If Ableton don't release Live 10 within the next 12 months, with all the plugin latency problems fixed, they will be fucked.

Or better yet, fix some of those issues in a 9.x release.

Doubt that would happen, unfortunately. I think they have a lot of code to rewrite in order to get PDC working properly the way it does in Cubase, etc.

In either case, it would have to be an option that people turn on, otherwise they'd have legacy issues with peoples projects sounding wrong.

Then there's the whole problem of them claiming "it's not a problem because Live is for live use"...

Good points.

lack of rewire's a deal breaker for me

Seems definitely like a nice toy.

Imo a good move would be to offer the first version for free. It'd be a great promotional trick that would draw tons of attention at it.
