Schmitz is such a bad ass:
He was the most interesting person during that Gumball.
Since (it seems) they responded to most DMCA takedown notices (even if capping the # per day) I would guess the thing leaving them most vulnerable are the internal emails. This will take a long time to sort out and the timing with SOPA/etc. is no accident.
TA sometimes receives angry emails (poor attempts at a 'takedown notice') because someone posted a photoshop of them but for the most part I direct them to wherever the image is hosted (since TA doesn't allow uploads (outside of avatars)).
I have to give credit to MU for succeeding in a space where TONS have failed miserably. Mind you, the global adoption of the Internet (and high speed) made it a perfect storm. These guys came in at the wrong time:

Prior to the creation of the current social networking website, the MySpace.com domain name was registered in 1998 to an online storage and file sharing firm. Originally launched in April 1999 as FreeDiskSpace.com, its founders, entrepreneurs Paul Hirner and Ari Freeman, changed its name to MySpace.com in 2000. Registration was free and users were able to obtain a small disk quota which would gradually increase if they referred new members to the site. Due to slow service and a lack of revenue, the site shut down and sold all of its users' information in 2001.

And... by Sunday, reports started spreading of other companies that provide useful services to people who want to legitimately share files... shutting down or limiting those services. For example, FileSonic -- one of the most popular cyberlockers -- has basically killed itself by no longer allowing sharing, and only allowing personal backup. Another site, Uploaded.to, then blocked all access from the US. A bunch of other services, including FileServe and VideoBB have been killing their affiliate programs (again, which had been a good way for independent musicians to make money).

Here's a list someone posted on a message board a short while ago: MegaUpload - Closed. Rapidshare - status unknown FileServe - Closing does not sell premium. File sharing already disabled. FileJungle - Deleting files. Locked in the U.S.. UploadStation - Locked in the U.S.. FileSonic - the news is arbitrary (under FBI investigation). No longer allows sharing files. VideoBB - Closed! would disappear soon. Uploaded - Banned U.S. and the FBI went after the owners who are gone. FilePost - Deleting all material (will leave executables, pdfs, txts) Videoz - closed and locked in the countries affiliated with the USA. ******* - Deleting files with copyright and waits in line at the FBI. MediaFire - Called to testify in the next 90 days
all this panic is temp, there will be other sites that open up after all this is done that will continue to allow illegal content being uploaded. nothing will be accomplished by this..
