I'm sure your location wasn't there before, but no matter.
Compared to Algeria, I can see how the weather in Paris isn't as good as North Africa's, that's blatantly obvious ..... but to say Paris is 'shit' without stating specific reasons why, that's comes across as silly to me...
.... you mention that you have family there, so you may well have more experience in Paris than I do..... so feel free to explain why you think it's 'shit'?
EDIT - I'm actually interested in your responses, I'm not looking for an internet, dick waving contest.
Just my general view was that it was overrated - too full of tourists and overpriced. There are many other French cities that are just as attractive architecturally but have a far more authentic feel without the hordes of tourists.

Overpriced, it certainly is.... but no more so than London, Milan or Geneva.
With regards to tourists, it's the same with any other major European city, it's just seasonality! France does indeed have a lot to offer, particularly in other major cities, but Paris is still amazing and summarises all of France in one location (in my opinion), particularly during the 'quiet season'.

Wow, Carl Craig - or rather "69" (his alias for the night) - killed it. And Rex was amazing. I had no idea it was the birth club of Daft punk and Air.

Yea, I went to Buddah Bar on Tuesday. Ordered a black label neat. They measured it out to one shot exactly (not a drop more) and charged 16 euros! Rex was about 10 euros for a beer (including tip).
I agree with Acton, though - This place is more amazing than I could have imagined.
I especially love the weather. Grey and rainy just how I like it.

Much thanks to you, man. I'm following all your exact recommendations. Most excited for Dyed and Shonky! I've settled on Audiofly for Saturday.

ya know... a lot of ppl on here are gonna think you're crazy for passing on seeing prydz or paco but, to be honest, i'd probably go see dyed too. i saw him like 2 weekends ago here in LA for the first time (finally) and it was a fuckin' amazing party. better than anything i'd seen this year so far
he dropped this track
about an hour before the end of his set..i instantly recognized it from dettmann's conducted mix and went nuts it was really telling for me, too, to see jamie jones and lee foss up there with dyed just shooting the shit and saying what's up, glad to be at a party he was playing.
as for beer=10eur ....that BLOWS. when i was in vienna over the summer the one thing i couldn't get enough of was how .5L beers cost 3eur or 3.5eur MAX. Even at the clubs I went to (granted I didn't bother with the trendy, upscale clubs...tho the one i was at was apparently the most popular dance music venue there) i never paid more than 3eur for a beer.

Damn righ its amazing! I am one of those turists, that visited and got hooked on the place so badly that i left a part of myself behind hoping to find an excuse one day to go back and stay there
Actualy, watched a movie just yesterday that had this conversation in it, and i coudnt agree with it more.
Adriana: I can never decide whether Paris is more beautiful by day or by night.
Gil: No, you can't, you couldn't pick one. I mean I can give you a checkmate argument for each side. You know, I sometimes think, how is anyone ever gonna come up with a book, or a painting, or a symphony, or a sculpture that can compete with a great city. You can't. Because you look around and every street, every boulevard, is its own special art form and when you think that in the cold, violent, meaningless universe that Paris exists, these lights, I mean come on, there's nothing happening on Jupiter or Neptune, but from way out in space you can see these lights, the cafs, people drinking and singing. For all we know, Paris is the hottest spot in the universe.
