To be honest, Jay's lynching was well deserved and actually helped a lot with me not being a huge fag. Internet 101 I guess.
I wanted to talk some more about this. I turned severely mentally ill at age 17. This last month I am finally coming back to life. From personal experience and talking with other mentally ill people and seeking professional help, I know a lot about the role a mentally ill person plays. I like to refer to it as being "re-wired". What that means is when the brain goes through something that twisted it, your brain will re-wire its connections to emotions, memories, and coping skills, and even the body itself...the list is long on what an ill brain effects. I had a happy childhood but I can't remember any of the feelings I experienced up to the age of 17. No nostalgia feeling what so ever.
I am in the residual phase of recovering from sever Mental Health issues and so I have personal experience with this. The key to my life changing finally was switching Therapist and actually taking my medications. I spent 11 years not taking medication because I was scared of Doctors in the mental health field and I covered my illness with booze and illegal drugs but what that really did for me was make me a little bit more bearable to be around my friends and families in their eyes but in my eyes I thought I had everyone fooled and no one could notice how Schizoid I was but believe me they all noticed and knew for years. From 28 to 32 I started seeing a Doctor and I thought I was making progress but this Doctor didn't care about his job anymore. He retired and I had to switch Doctors. My new Doctor was a 29 year old female with a PHD. It took 3 more years with her and now I'm just starting to un-isolate myself and everything else that goes along with recovering from a mental health defect. I'm not really ashamed to talk about it because its the truth about my life.
I'm not trying nor am I going to pull an Avana and try to make people on TA abide by some mental illness code while referring to me and I'm not going to talk about sticking up for other mentally ill people that are my brothers and sisters that are not strong enough to speak for themselves either. Feel free to call my crazy, nutter, or anything you feel that is clever.
What I am trying to do is let Var know and the rest of TA know that I understand where he is coming from although he is completely wrong in what he is doing!!! But there are somethings he can do to stop bringing attention to himself that is negative.
So Var if you want to PM me, feel free.
Now for me this is common knowledge because I experienced it first hand but having suicidal and homicidal thoughts and ideas and even planning to act on them is common with sever mental illness. I am NOT saying it is acceptable. Also the threatening of people with these actions is common as well with a sever mental disorder. I could write a whole book on the role a hardcore mental case plays in society and online and the factors that keep a person mentally ill and the reasons they became mentally ill (that takes a little more effort as you have to get to know the person).
The thing I am worried about with Var is you are scarring people Var because of the fact that you have already killed people in the line of duty and you have been trained to harm people because it was your job. A lot of people couldn't do the jobs you did but I understand that you probably didn't join the Military so that you could kill people but after you joined you are forced to carry out the missions assigned to you. And the job you were doing is an extremely important job in the times we live in. I am not saying that you are hardcore mentally ill either but I am saying that I was hardcore mentally ill for 18 years and I been around a lot of stuff that goes hand and hand with mentally ill people and thoughts of killing themselves and other people and it is common to me. You could say you were just drunk or something but I don't know anyone who drinks and says they want to fight to the death with someone else. So please PM me if you want to talk.
The other reason I am writing this on a Thread instead of a PM to Var is because I also really feel that this needs to be said out in the open because not everyone will be as lucky as me to beat this illness and have the chance to re-wire a brain that was re-wired with everything that is wrong with this world. Some mentally ill people do kill people and follow thru on their threats so making this public in my eyes is better than a hidden PM to Var. And this is sort of my introduction since all my other Threads and Posts were basically written by a guy that was half Schizophrenic and half Bi-Polar so I want to introduce myself and to help with this issue if I could.
