That all the clubs in Sydney use the 600 and i want to have a good understanding of the mixer. I'm sick of not understanding how to use other mixes, it's annoying cos in dark places, it's not easy to learn in the space of 3 minutes. The shop doesn't stock Allan & Heath, pioneer is tested reliable. And I can't buy overseas cos the power settings will be wrong and i don't have the effort to go out and buy power adaptors for all my stuff. I also like having a sampler. My other mixer has one and if used well, they can be quite effective. I also have tacky tastes and enjoy the cheasy sounds of the flanger.
Reason enough for you
The flanger doesnt have to be tacky, rather than using one of the predefined LFO settings set it to 6400ms (this should work if the time between each beat is 400ms). This draws out the flanger and is a lot more effective. Shit i shouldnt really be telling everyone this, even scot bond doesnt do it and it sounds loads better than what he does with the flanger.
hey cheggy, where'd u get ur mixer from? wat shop? coz here in brissie i went to allen's... and they have such a limited range of mixers it gives me the shits... only pioneer djm500 and some other one and i only want the djm600... they dont have technics turntables either

What can i say? I love my djm 600 to bits also. I was sceptical about buying it at first, but now i am glad i did. I got it with my 2 technics 1210 mk3d's and the set up is just awesome.
I am a technology freak tho and i got a good job so i went out and bought 2 pioneer cdj-100's and a tascam x-9 last week.
Imo the x-9 and djm 600 are the best mixers ive ever had.
nomiz, I got it from one stop deejay. It was the last one they had. They've been trying like all buggery to get them in but there's a big wait apparently. I think pioneer is trying to replace them with the djm-3000. I gotta say, it makes mixing easier, having eq's that do something, cross faders shorter than my arm and connections that don't bleed sound everywhere
damn damn, is that place a shop or a site?
hmmmm, I think it's both, but they don't have anymore left. I know the people there which is why i got it so cheap. Just have a look around
maaaan....
Next time if you see something like that (last item or what so ever....) BUY THAT 4 ME !!! OK !!!
