waves z noise does that. It isn't noise tho. There is no background noise tho so it would not work in this case. Basically a multi band de esser made for this particular purpose is what i'm looking for. And yes, i could use any de esser but i'm looking for something that has a built in algorithm for this kind of artifact

I thought aliasing was an integral part of the sound within a digital waveform? Unless you go to stupidly high bit depths that the aliasing all but disappears. So you're not really removing noise as it's not something that can be removed from itself.

you have it wrong. Not completely. the nyquist frequency for the lowest sample rate 44 Khz is 22 kHz which is well beyond human hearing. I am getting artifacts in the 8-12 kHz range which would indicate a sample rate that is rather low. I'm working at 88 kHz so i think it is just artifacts from the actual modelling engine. So yes, there will always be aliasing if you have a frequency that is higher than 1/2 the sampling rate resulting in a fold back from the Nyquist frequency. example. my sampling rate is 44, a signal of 23 kHz will produce a signal of 21 instead. If you were using say 32, then a 18 kHz tone would actually sound like a 14 kHz tone and so on.

It could just be some aliasing that is from the sample itself. Really, I would just slap on a band reject filter and call it a day.
I'm assuming you are just working with poor samples. However, does the frequency change as you play different pitches?
I usually add a touch of reverb to orchestral samples, because dry samples tend to have overtones that can mess around with the mixes. Reverb smears it a bit so it's less likely to have those problems.
It's kinda like having a poorly aliased image versus a properly anti-aliased image on the computer.

it isn 't a sample library. Frequency could change with the pitch of the tone but it is so high that it isn't noticeable.
