We have some WEIRD laws in this country! You get 5 years for shooting someone (and killing them), 10+ years for illegal substance possession, and 5 - 20 years for THIS! What sense does that make? The people who were involved in this relationship with SUMMERS probably loved it, anyway! I know I would've if this happened to me with a hot teacher. I didn't have many hot teachers between 1999-09-07 and now (Secondary/High School) but, I had one back in 1999 and she wasn't like SUMMERS! I'm pretty sure that this case with SUMMERS just has to do with our government wanting to make money. Everyone knows that the people wanted it so, it HAS to be way our gov't is. I like to see exactly what she gets sentenced with.

Don't read too much into that penalty, though. A lot of people who plead guilty to charges with jail sentences "up to 20 years" end up serving ZERO. The system is fux0red for intimidation purposes, the number of years someone COULD go to prison is usually totally unrelated to the number they do.
